I have owned my Ford Fusion for three years now. Up until recently, I have not had a single problem out of it. Other than regular maintenance, e.g., tires, oil changes, brake pads, battery. I have had to minimal work on it. I did have to put a thermometer on it in 2016, but it was a simple repair and fixed the problem. It is comfortable enough to seat my family of four with room to spare. The leather seats are sturdy and easy to clean, which is a must when you have small children. The controls for everything such as the radio, windows, sun roof, etc., are all functional and easy to use. The lights on the dash board and in the message center are self-explanatory and leave little room for mistakes, so I always know if something is wrong. However, working in a garage, I am able to see wha... (more)
Story
My kids, my husband, and I went camping for the first time in this car. While it is spacious, trying to pack an entire weekend's worth of stuff for four people into it was a challenge. We drove to Cave Run Lake with stuff crammed in every available space.
Pros
It's comfortable and easy to drive. I like the simplicity and functionality of the controls. No fancy screens or complicated controls to learn. It's spacious. The factory sound system is top notch. The power windows and sun roof were made with high quality materials, meaning I didn't have to replace any motors in them, which is a common problem in Ford vehicles. The message center let me know if the car needed anything from gas to fluids, even air in the tires. It also allowed me to perform systems checks from right there in the driver's seat, which would tell me if my fluid pressures were... (more)
Cons
The first negative thing I noticed with this vehicle is that the paint job seemed to be low quality. This is another common issue with Ford vehicles, and I am surprised that it didn't get recalled. The transmission went out at right at 200,000 miles. The anti-lock brake sensor would get stuck any time you slid, and it took lots of tapping and manipulation to unstick. The alternative was spending $600 to replace the sensor, which is something I was not going to do unless it became absolutely necessary. Anytime you need to work on anything under the hood, expect to have to move or take off s... (more)

2008 Ford Fusion - It drives great, and I've never had an issues with it. I am happy with it.

My car is an older model of the Ford Fusion, but it runs like brand new. It had two previous owners before me, and it had over 100,000 miles when I got it. It now almost has 200,000 miles and still works great! The car on the outside is a gray/silver color, and the color is nice. No dings or scratches on the car right now, since I have taken very good care of it. The inside of the car has comfortable seats and makes for a nice ride, if you're going to be driving for a while. It has a sunroof which is also nice. There is not much that I dislike about the car other than the stereo system. It also runs great. No issues there either.
Story
A friend and I once drove to a concert about an hour away from where we lived. We were able to get the stereo system to work properly on the way there, and we listened to the music that we were going to be listening to at the concert. The bass in the car for the stereo system is actually really good. So we had the music going, and we were singing along. It was really fun and memorable. Mainly ... (more)
Pros
The most positive things about this car is the way it drives, the gas mileage, comfortable seats, and probably the features in the car. It is an older model of the Ford Fusion, but it still has some nice features in it despite the year it was made. The steering wheel has all the controls on it for cruise control and the radio. They make it easily accessible, and I really like that. Like stated before, the seats are also very comfortable. The gas mileage is also pretty good for how much I drive it. I can drive easily 280 miles before it gets in the danger zone before I've got to fill up. Th... (more)
Cons
The stereo system really lacks for me. I have a lot of problems getting my CDs in the stereo system and then getting them to play. Most of the time I can't even get a disc to load. When I can get the disc in the CD player, it will often say that there is no disc in there, and it can't play anything. Then when you try to remove the disc, it refuses to come out of the CD player. The stereo system has been like this ever since I got the car. I have always disliked that feature about the car. I've not replaced it or gotten it looked at. It is just something I have tolerated.
