The Astro has a lot of space for my family of six. We don't have to try to fit in a small car, just to find that two of us have to stay home. It is very comfortable and has many great attributes. There is heating and cooling in the back, as well as the front. There are cup holders virtually everywhere. The Astro also has a good amount of power. The only downside is that it uses a lot of gas while traveling in town. On the other hand, it makes really good mileage on the highway. There are enough speakers in the van to let everyone hear the music. It's kind of rough on bumps and pot holes, because of the size of the van. It also catches the wind and pushes you a little more than in a smaller car.
Story
My family and I took the Astro camping. We set up tents, laid out sleeping bags, and made a fire pit. We spent the rest of the day fishing. In the evening, we ate dinner and retired to our tents. During the night, coyotes came into the camp to say hello. It scared my kids enough that they talked me into letting everyone sleep in the van. We couldn't have even taken this trip, let alone have ev... (more)
Pros
Space, heating and cooling through out the vehicle, places to set your drinks, powerful engine, good fuel highway mileage, enough speakers for everyone to enjoy music.
Cons
Poor city gas mileage, rough on bumps and pot holes, High profile body that gets pushed by the wind more than a smaller vehicle.

My Chevrolet Astro 2002 has been good to me but is also a bit embarrassing for me to drive around. The engine used to makes weird noises wile try to start her up, but I recently took her in to get checked. The Exterior has 3 dents located on the right side. The Interior has a couple of rips in the seats where you can see the foam of the chair peeping through. The front seat do not have enough room for my tall friends legs. I bought my car for 3,000 used. I get 18-22 on the high way (miles per gallon) I have an automatic with 8 seats. So far I have drive 3,000 miles. I am in school for filmmaking I use the space of my car for tons of equipment such as Tripods, sets, costumes, actors, camera etc.
Story
Well the day I got the car, My parents surprised me by picking it up while I was in class. I got home looks at my parents and asked them whose ugly car was that in the drive way and they looked at me and laughed and said "yours?"
Pros
She great for commuting my friends around. I usually get stuck carrying equipment and my car or take the friends to the concerts. I have a V6 engine.
Cons
-Interior quality -185 to fill up -its so big
