This is an overall great truck that has proven very reliable.
The vehicle is capable of easily pulling a 32 foot travel trailer and comes equipped with everything that is needed to tow. The mirrors slide out (manually), it has a factory installed trailer brake and a spacer for the hitch is included. The interior of the truck is roomy enough for a family of four but even when five or six people are seated in the truck cab it is not uncomfortable. The styling of the truck is great because it looks like a full size truck not a subdued version of one. The bed of the truck is plenty big enough to haul just about anything. We have a shell on ours and have put a liner in and with those features the bed is large enough to sleep two adults and two kids. The truck handles like a truck on the road and the z71 version handles well off road with a stiff suspension that makes off-roading enjoyable. As for being dependable the truck is nearing 27,000 miles and has only required the routine maintenance of oil changes. The interior is sturdy enough to handle two kids in the back and cleans up easily. The driver controls are all very practical and most can be accessed at the steering wheel.

Tough and Roomy
We recently traded a Jeep Wrangler for a new 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. The first thing we noticed, was how smooth the ride was. We live in an area with badly deteriorated roads, and this truck provides a surprisingly smooth ride. We had owned a Silverado 2500 previously, but it seems like the interior of this model is much roomier. Our son is five foot tall and he sits comfortably in the back seat, with room to spare. The makes this truck much more appealing than previous versions in my opinion. The gas mileage is pretty comparable to most trucks, but the power seems better than other brands. We loaded the bed of this truck down with materials for our kitchen remodel, and it barely phased this truck, even through some of the steep hills on the drive home. We recently had an ice and snow storm, so we got to test out the four wheel drive. The steering was much more "loose" when in four wheel drive than other vehicles we have owned. The interior features are great. There are plenty of hook-ups for today's gadgets, which makes this great for traveling.
