I like it because it is spacious inside and can deal well with the snow compared to my other car. It has amazing engine power too.

The Chevy Suburban 4 wheel drive is a rugged, sturdy passenger vehicle built on the Chevy 1500 truck chassis. The (I'll refer to it as) truck is solid, however, the passenger cabin is ultra comfortable. The model I purchase has a fold down console in the front seat. When folded up and away, it reveals a 3rd middle seat, expanding the total seating capacity to 9 people. It has the available Pro Audio sound system with Satellite radio. The satellite radio comes in handy on long drives where otherwise there wouldn't be any reception. Additionally, it has a back up camera display in the rear view mirror which is a great aid in parking.
Story
A few winters ago, we drove to Vermont for a family ski trip. After arriving at night, we drove the next morning to the base of the mountain. It had started snowing, just flurries at first. By mid day, the snow was so heavy that you couldn't see the ground from the chairlift. When we got back to our Suburban around 5pm, there was at least a foot of new snow on the ground. Here comes the funny ... (more)
Pros
Great traction and road handling on wet and snowy surfaces. My favorite feature is that the 4 wheel drive can be set to automatic. So it only kicks in when the wheels start to slip. This saves on gas, as well as improves the ride when 4WD is not needed. Both the middle and rear rows fold down, giving the cargo area a true 4X8 area. This will hold several uncut boards of plywood along with enough 2X4's for any project. The seats are configurable, so you can fold half the middle row down if you have some long items, while leaving 2 seats available for passengers. One of the best features to ... (more)
Cons
While I had mentioned that there is seating for 9. The front and rear rows are narrower than the middle row, and thus the person sitting in the middle will not be all that comfortable. In fact, the middle passenger in the from row has to contend with the transmission hump and little leg room. While the Ride is "Firm", it can be a little rough at times, especially when going over bumps in the road.
