The Chevy Cobalt has been my little sweetie car. I love how accurately she drives. This car can zoom, and really has some power. Also, the side curtain air bags makes me feel safe while I am buzzing from place to place. This car is great for highway travel, and can even take on rocky mountain roads that seem daunting to other 4-door sedans. With a great size, shape and color, the cobalt is one for the ages.
Story
I had to get to work during a bad winter storm. I decided to brave it in my car. I was able to get there safely after about 30 minutes (a usual 5 minute drive) and I knew I had chosen the right car for me.
Pros
This vehicle has great gas mileage, at about 30 mpg. The stereo has great sound quality. The engine has held up great for a 10 year old car that has not been driven nicely. I love the interiors and the secret compartments make me happy, plus leaving plenty of room for me to store things. I have had a few accidents over the years but my car is no worse for wear. I have always been able to have repairs done easily. Also, this car gets around in any weather.
Cons
The steering column went out after about 4 years of driving and I had to get it replaced. Also, the car has been the subject of 2 or 3 different recalls, one of which was for a faulty ignition key. That makes me worry about safety. The driving wheel became very very slick after a few years of driving, so I have to use a cover. Also, the visibility out of the drivers side windows and windshield is somewhat bad, causing one to not be able to see pedestrians.

The Chevy Cobalt is a compact car--that said, if you're a fan of space and organization, this might not be the vehicle for you. I purchased the vehicle after high school for college, finding it to be "good enough" to get me from point A to point B. The interior was a pale, soft fabric, and didn't grab too much attention from people, while the dashboard plastic also left much to be desired. In short, you wouldn't buy this car for its looks. There are many more attractive compact vehicles out in the market. In terms of reliability, it was fine. I had a few brake troubles, but for the most part, the Cobalt worked well enough and didn't cost me very much in maintenance costs during the period during which I owned it. It has some spunk, admittedly, and you can have some fun when driving t... (more)
Story
My buddy and I were coming back from a McDonald's in New Hampshire, and I hit the pedal real hard and the car went real fast and we got some big air over this bump in the road and we both laughed and Brandon Schlocher spit out his fries all over the carpet. We laughed so hard he spilled his Shamrock Shake all over his pants.
Pros
The car was spunky, and fun to drive for someone my age, at that stage in my life. It does the job, and is relatively maintenance-free!
Cons
The car's aesthetics left much to be desired. The interior, especially, was extra bland and made me feel like just a mediocre slob amid the great expanse of the capitalist system.
