I love this vehicle for its great gas mileage. I travel to visit family 600 miles away several times a year and being able to drive this car for those trips make the trip very affordable. I actually leased a 2005 cobalt for 3 years before purchasing the 2008 cobalt that I currently own. For a small car it is quite roomy and has ample storage room in the trunk of the vehicle as well. The car was very affordable, but it is not overly stylish or made with high quality materials. It also does not come standard with cruise control, power windows, or power locks. However, it does have electronic system for your tire monitors, oil change status, engine temperature and current mileage per gallon usage. Overall, the vehicle is dependable and fuel efficient.
Story
I drove my vehicle to an out of state wedding with a friend of mine. My friend was worried that my vehicle would not drive well over a long distance. He was pleasantly surprised not only by how well the car drove, but how great the gas mileage was.
Pros
This vehicle is affordable to own, not only because of the initial low cost of the Cobalt, but also because of its fuel efficiency. In addition, it has been reliable and dependable for the 7 years that I have owned it.
Cons
This vehicle does not come standard with power locks, power windows, or cruise control. Each of these features are available for upgrade; however, the Cobalt that I purchased did not come with these upgrades.

We have had this car for several years and we have been really happy with the car. The car has done a good job of adapting to changes in lifestyle. We purchased this car as a newly married couple and it has remained with us as our family has grown to include two children. Other than paying for and performing the routine maintenance (oil) and taking care of the few wear items (tires, brakes), we have been fortunate and haven't had any major repairs to speak of. This car has been reliable as a daily driver and has been used to transport the family across the country (Texas to Wisconsin). While the car isn't spacious when compared to larger vehicles, it fits the family pretty well for everything but really long trips. The car has held up well and still looks like a nice car even with year... (more)
Story
This has been a fun car and has served the family well even with 20 hour drives to visit family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Imagine 20 hours straight in a car with 2 small children. One trip we tried to stay ahead of a blizzard and almost beat the blizzard. The last 60 miles took 2.5 hours to drive because of conditions! Other than that, it has served us well on vacations that were mor... (more)
Pros
The best features of the car are that it has been a reliable car and has been economical to own. The car has had very little work other than preventative maintenance and normal wear type items. The purchase price of the car was economical while it gets good gas mileage so it lasts between fill ups. We normally get 30mpg on the car although that is with my lead foot. For a car with a small engine, it has reasonable acceleration and we never feel danger with getting up to speed for highway travel. The interior has withstood the abuse of two small children climbing around the inside of the ca... (more)
Cons
There are not too many negative aspects to the car. When the kids are little and their car seats need to be installed backwards, the movement of the front seat is limited so that it cannot move all the way back. In fact, with any sort of car seat installed, the leg room for children is a bit small. The only other annoyance that has come up is a few of the plastic clips holding the front bumper tight broke when we hit a tall curb one time. The bumper is still attached to the car but it isn't as tight as it used to be. Another panel under the car had a few Christmas tree connectors come off ... (more)
