A reduction in quality.
I had an older model before this cruse. It was a 2014 and I had really liked that, so when I got the newer model I was expecting to like it as much. But I am disappointed. It seems the new cruise has been downgraded. Aside from the new touch screen and rearview cam added many things seemed to be missing now. The console used to be bigger and it had a sub port inside it but not anymore. Underneath the radio used to have more space, but this one has less room so my change gets wet when the travel cups drip and small accessories like sun glasses or garage door openers fall to the ground. There was also a compartment on the dashboard before for extra storage. I really miss having this storage. They changed the shape of the car too. The 2014 model looked a bit more beefy in the front section, which I think gave that model a bit of a classier look. Now I feel like I'm driving a Cavalier again which I think is a step down appearance wise. I also am not happy with the interior fabric that came with the car, it's the same color as it used to be but they seem to have added a texture that catches crumbs and hairs. Cleaning the fabric is nearly impossible now. I also used to be able to reach in-between the console and seat to sweep it out but there seems to be less space as well. A new feature this model has is the economy mode, that when the car idles it turns off the engine temporally. This takes a bit of getting used to. The first few times it did this I thought the car was stalking out. I guess it is a good feature if it saves on gas money, but I can't tell if it's making a difference yet.

Perks of owning a Cruze
Overall very pleased with this vehicle. Owned a Cobalt prior so not too much of a change to the Cruze. However, a few noticeable improvements, seems like it has a little more power, handles easier and interior is sleeker. The car was bought used, and I have no regrets on not paying for a brand new one. In fact, I would recommend that you do that. The car feels powerful but also gets excellent gas mileage. Also, if you are a fisherman/hiker, the trunk has more than enough for your gear. If you lay the back seats down, you can leave a 9' fly rod together. Simply put, the Cruze is a very easy and nice car to own. Has very nice standard features and very much comparable to other cars of the same size on the market. The Cruze is an all around good car.
