Very good mid-range car
It's a very good car for most tasks. The 27 mpg keeps money in your wallet and your car on the road longer, and the the interior is spacious enough for 5 to sit fairly comfortably with plenty of storage in the back. However, the interior isn't anything to write home about - fabric seats and plastic everywhere makes it feel cheap, and the odd layout of the controls feels like an attempt to distract you from that.

Room and zip
I love this car. This is a small car, but has plenty of room for my husband who is over six feet tall. The gas mileage is good, averaging between 27 and 29 miles per gallon, but I find it to be plenty powerful and zippy. It tends to go into passing gear on very steep hills, but does not slow down noticeably. I find it fun to drive and super easy to park. The windshield is undersized and difficult to adjust to quickly. After a time it is no longer noticeable. The control panel is intuitive and easy to understand. Controls are divided between both left and right hands and are not all crowded onto one stick. The cruise control is managed by the left thumb, and the windshield washer/wipers are controlled by the right hand. The speedometer is easily seen and not obscured by the adjustable steering wheel. The front seats are well shaped and comfortable and have held up to over 100000 miles without sagging or leaning to one side. I find the seat belts comfortable , but have had to replace the rear ones. The rear seats are not terribly roomy or comfortable, but do have a power plug and climate control vent. Also, the rear windows do open. The rear hatchback is convenient, tall enough for tall people and dependable. The rear section is roomy with additional storage below the floor. There is enough room in there for jumper cables, jack, and a small selection of tools, as well as hat gloves and water bottles. We have gone camping with this vehicle and had enough room for tent, baggage, bedding, and kitchen. The rear and passenger seats fold for ease of hauling. The engine compartment is crowded, but it is easy to reach oil, brake fluid, washer fluid, and water overflow. We have found this car dependable, but now must take it in for a recall on ignition. We have replaced the brakes three times in the last 6 years, but have taken it into the shop only once for non-routine maintenance. We have been very happy with this vehicle.
