We've had this vehicle for about three years. Purchased used, we needed to replace the entire engine. The engine overhaul was followed by a need for many small parts that seemed typical for any vehicle of an advanced age. At one point, we were told that we were going to need an entirely new transmission, fortunately they were able to take care of the problem using a repair kit. When broken, it's broken, however, when it's running well it seems to really run well. The gas mileage is great for both in town and interstate driving. There is plenty of room in the back for storage.
Story
At a local auction, I was able to load all my purchases into the back of my van quickly and keep everything dry while chuckling at all the people in pick up trucks whose new possessions were getting wet.
Pros
I am in the junk buying and selling business. This van is great for hauling. The back two rows of seats can be easily folded down, slid forward, or removed. This means, there is a great deal of room for hauling. It's not a super smooth ride, but for the class of vehicle it rides pretty well. There's plenty of room and the van is easy to get in and out of. It's a good "work horse" van while still being comfortable for driver and passengers.
Cons
It seems that in all repair we seem to hear the words, "the way the ????? is built, it means taking a lot of things apart to get where we need to be". As a result, the cost of repairs seems to rise. It sometimes feels that there is always something that is not running properly. At the moment, things not working include front speakers, fuel indicator gauge, and the air conditioner.

I would say I wouldn't buy this car again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anymore. My family grew, so we needed a bigger vehicle, so I found this van for 2,000 dollars. I went to see it, and it wasn't bad for the price being so cheap, so I, of course, took it. I have regretted everyday. About two months into having it -- maybe not even that -- it broke down, and I paid almost as much as I did when I bought it to get it fixed, and I have had it for two years. I have paid double the money to fix it than what it was worth, so this car was a terrible buy. I am watching out next time. Well, it's a tan Chevy Venture. I bought it cause my family was growing. I liked the size, the color, and the interior was very nicely taken care of. It looked new on the inside of the car. The guy selling it ... (more)
Story
My family and I went to Ocean City, Maryland, and took a vacation in it, and it got us there and back. And since it is big and it has the DVD player in it, it made it a nice trip and comfortable trip.
Pros
Top positive things would have to be the interior was really nice and also someone put a DVD player in it. That was a pro because of having children.
Cons
Negative things there were so many let's see. It was rusting a little on the outside of the car, and two years later, it is so rusted and looks terrible. Two months after I got it, I had to put a lot of new parts in it. It had a lot of bad parts on it when I bought it. One of the front lights goes on and off all the time which is dangerous and illegal. I hit a bump and the light goes off...I hit another bump it goes back on. Check engine light comes on a lot.
