A Good Inexpensive Vehicle.
I bought my bright red Aveo Hatchback new at the end of 2006, and I have been very pleased with it overall. It was an inexpensive car, and there are things about it that go along with that. It always rattled a bit. The ride isn't always smooth like butter. But it has been a darn cute and reliable little car. Chevy stopped making them, and now makes a slightly smaller vehicle, the Spark. I think that may be too small for me.

Great economy car with no bells or whistles, great gas mileage.
I bought the Chevrolet Aveo more for financial reasons, and less because I liked the car a lot. The car has a 2.3L 4 cylinder engine, which doesn't provide very much acceleration or total speed - but it holds its own on the freeway. The gas mileage is excellent (about 38 MPG on the freeway). There are no bells or whistles. No power windows or locks. No CD player (although it does include an input for a phone or music player). No cruise control, or any performance information on the dash. Just a plain and simple car for someone who needs to get somewhere, and doesn't have much money to spend. The car itself is very compact and fits into any tight spot. Surprisingly, the car feels a lot bigger and roomier when you're inside it. But that doesn’t stop the car from looking cheap, slightly funny shaped and not very attractive.
