The Chevrolet Cobalt is a fun car to drive. Whether you are going long distance or just down the road, this car makes driving easy and fun. The LS model has only 2 doors, but it still has 5 seats (the rear seats fold down and are removable) the front seats don't lack for space. This compact car has taken me on dirt trails, through ponds, and heavy rain. It has a sturdy frame and suspension which allows for a steady performance and stable handling even in harsh conditions.
Story
I took this car out camping in the Los Padres National Forest. After removing the front seat and folding the back one down I was able to make a bed in the passengers seat during rough weather. On the way out I had to drive through about 15 miles of dirt road, and it was a very pleasant trip going up and down mountains, through valleys of old trees and in between them large meadows. I tried to ... (more)
Pros
The car has a slick design that should appeal to any taste. Many simple things can elevate this car to another level, such as window tint, and larger tires, but on its own the car looks great. It's tail lights are unique and round, similar to a Corvette or Nissan GTR. The front of the car looks modern, and has nice color contrast. I like being able to drive this car just about anywhere.
Cons
The car is quite small, and has a small motor that makes it unable to tow any sort of trailer behind it. Coming off the line it also has a low clearance making it hard to drive over obstacles. The blind spot of the car takes a little getting used to as it is quite large for such a small car. A common experience in users with the Cobalt is the front bumper sagging below the headlights. There is a gap between the headlight of between 1cm and 2 inches. This is caused poor construction of the plastic screws that hold the bumper in place.

Chevrolet seems to be a reliable brand for many Americans. For myself I've had this 2005 Chevy Cobalt LS since its release. I have to say as far as a reliable vehicle goes, this one is pretty good. Many pros of this make and model are as follows; The gas mileage is fair. I've not had to worry about many repairs since buying the vehicle. If you keep fresh oil in it and take it easy on the highway you should have the same experience. The cost of the car was reasonable, I bought the cheapest package so you get what you pay for right? I did, and then some. By some, I mean good and bad. Some negative aspects here are; the stock suspension is pretty rough, not a comfy ride at all. The sound system and wiring is plain horrible. A few phantom engine lights will come on here and there over the ... (more)
Story
Me and a few friends took my car out to a local forest preserve where we sat on the car and watched a meteor shower. We had the radio on listening to our favorite station.
Pros
Gas mileage, reliability, cost, safety, and life.
Cons
Suspension, wiring, faulty sensors and engine light.
