I bought my car used. I was the third owner. It had a completed review and was up kept nicely. The Chevy SS has a turbo in it that I loved hearing going off while speeding down the street. I noticed a month after getting my car that it kept telling me to check my tire pressure. It would stay on for a day or two and then disappear. It kept happening off and on for several months, and it stayed on because it couldn't read the front right tire pressure monitor. As time went on, I had the same problem with all four tires. Overall, the car ran nice and handled well in bad conditions. It had several recalls on it that I'm not sure ever were addressed which could have been part of the problem. The car has a large trunk that was great for grocery shopping, and I had an aftermarket subwoo... (more)
Story
It was the first car I bought after getting out of an abusive relationship.
Pros
Pros of my Chevy would be that it has been a very reliable car. It handles well in rain and snow. It drives fast, handles curves well, and is sporty. I really love the fabric I have on my seats. I spilled coffee on it, and it didn't stain. The trunk is super large and roomy. The radio and speakers are amazing in the car. It isn't very low to the ground like most coupes are. It has buttons on the steering wheel, so I can mute the music or skip to the next song. The windshield wiper blades don't go too fast, and the mirrors have two sets of adjusting buttons. Not only can you move t... (more)
Cons
Because of the turbo in the car, it doesn't get great gas mileage. It's a long car which makes it hard to turn sometimes. I've had numerous mechanical errors with it. I am constantly cleaning out the oil. There is a lot of oil sludge from the engine. It only has two doors as a coupe, and they are very big. Sometimes it's hard to get in or out on a windy day.

2014 Chevrolet Cobalt - The Chevy Cobalt SS is surprisingly stylish for a small car.

The Chevrolet Cobalt SS has changed in style over the past ten years. The 2014 model is very fashionable, with a modern design of a more expensive car while remaining small in size. It has been great for my children to learn to drive with and park in downtown parking situations. I've had no large problems and have performed regular maintenance. I've been surprised at how many compliments the car gets from people who don't expect it to be a small compact model by its look and appeal alone. While the car model has had recalls, the brand is still one of the best in the industry and I've trusted it for many years. The price alone helps to sell the vehicle and the ride is great.
Story
A man with a more expensive Mazda tried to sue his key on my car, confusing them.
Pros
The price alone helps sell this car. It's affordable and you can add luxury features that won't break the bank. It has a decent resale value and the quality of the car itself seems to hold up over the years. The stylish design is great and looks far more expensive than it is. The ride and ease of maintaining the vehicle is top class. The height inside is great for taller people and the driver's seat is good even for my shorter fiancé and teenage children. It's been great on handling and acceleration for both myself and the others driving it. I have been happy with the handling in the rain ... (more)
Cons
The car could have more leg room in the back and front. The trunk could also be a bit bigger. I wish they had easier to access headlight casings because I often have to change the bulbs more than I have for other cars. The wear on the tires is a bit more drastic than other models as well. I find the single axle and the front tires get unbalanced distribution despite attempts to correct it with new tires and checks on springs. Braking can be an issue in weather conditions while accelerating isn't an issue. The seats are very close to the air bags, and I've been tempted to ask about disablin... (more)
