2004 Chevrolet Colorado - It's almost garbage
The truck is hardly a truck. The engine has multiple misfires in the engine, and it can't pass inspection. It had a bad sensor when I first got it, and it sucks gas down real quick for such a small truck. It has rear-wheel drive, so it slips and slides all over the place in the snow. I wouldn't recommend this truck to my worst enemy.

When I got towed through a snowy road and got to enjoy the ride. When I got towed through a snowy road and got to enjoy the ride. My truck would not drive through the snow, so another truck had to come to my aide, strap up, and pull me through a snow covered road in the middle of January. I was pretty upset at first that my truck would not push through the snow itself, but once I realized I had help, it wasn't so bad. It was a decent time enjoying the ride as I got dragged though the snow by a much larger truck that actually has the ability to pull weight. It took about ten minutes to get my truck all the way down the road, but it was worth every minute of the wait. I got to enjoy the feeling of how inferior and useless my truck is and that I will never buy another similar vehicle ever again. I feel that I wasted so much money on such junk, a pathetic excuse for a truck. Hopefully someday I will be able to afford a truck with enough weight and power to actually push through a little bit of snow, but at least for now, I'll have this memory to share with my friends and family and anyone else who has any interest in hearing about this fantastic adventure of mine from the past. I hope to retell this story for generations to come.
It doesn't have many pros, but it has a nice color which helps make it feel a little bit better. It has doors that work, windows that work, and a steering wheel that turns. The locks work, the starter works, and the alternator works.

Most things are negative about this vehicle. The rear-wheel drive, the engine issues, the broken heater fan, the moderately warm A/C, and the gas consumption is ridiculous. The top speed is a joke. The truck vibrates and shakes when left in neutral for too long. It doesn't have very much interior space, either. It cost a lot more than I personally believe it is worth, which makes it a horrible investment.

2004 Chevrolet Colorado - Great vehicle
I purchased this truck at a time when gasoline was over five dollars per gallon. This was the perfect time to get a more economical vehicle, and it certainly delivered. I instantly saved money on a per month basis, even with the increased vehicle payment. In addition, it is a very capable and durable vehicle. The Z71 package offers excellent off-road performance as well, with electronic traction control on the front wheels and an Eaton G-80 locker in the rear. True four-wheel drive. This is not a truck where you will get stuck and only have two wheels turning. Combine this with the economic four-cylinder engine and you have an excellent vehicle that I've now owned for over fifteen years and driven about 100,000 miles with zero significant repairs needed. In fact, I have yet to need any maintenance beyond the typical. I've replaced the battery, the air filter, and changed the oil. Nothing more. Couldn't have asked for a better experience and, even though I was already a pro Chevrolet guy, I'm definitely even more of a Chevrolet supporter now. Keep up the good work guys! Regular people need regular vehicles that are well built and capable of tackling the daily battles.
I live in a particularly rural desert with a couple of mountain ranges. When I first moved here, I went exploring in the mountains along the canals to see if I could find fish. After about 10 miles, I realized these "roads" are probably not what you want to break down on, so I turned around. After about 10 miles, I realized these "roads" are probably not what you want to break down on, so I turned around. But this was after I had the vehicle to the point I could literally reach out my driver's window and touch the ground. Great vehicle, excellent off-road performance.
Good economy. True four-wheel drive. All four wheels receive power (unlike most 4x4s that only have two wheels powered). Reliable. Durable.

Not full size. Smaller engine. Smaller cargo area. Lower towing capacity.
