I bought a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT thinking that since it was a Monte Carlo it would be an excellent car. I have been a GM driver since I was 16 and decided to stick with them. The car has treated me well as I live in Wisconsin and it has trudged right through snow easily - which I have come to love. It also has a sleek look to it that still turns heads. I honestly can't complain about it much as it has been very reliable except some rust issues.
Story
Racing a little foreign Nissan who wanted to race through town and winning. That was a good time.
Pros
There were a number of things I liked about the car. As stated above, its sleek design really does make it stand out from a lot of other cars. Also, it drives well in the snow. It has enough horsepower to give it some giddy-up which really makes it feel perfectly powered when you hit the gas pedal. Most importantly, it has been extremely reliable and I have never had issues with the engine.
Cons
There were a few negative things about the car, but not very many. First, I was a little disappointed that it rusts fairly easily in the Wisconsin winters even with frequent washings. The car does seem to have some handling issues when you go around a corner fairly fast. It seems that the cars suspension is not very well geared for tight turning. Lastly, the ride in the car is ok but not what you would expect from something that has a Monte Carlo badge on it.

I love my Monte Carlo. I have had some regular maintenance problems with it, but in the beginning, it was a great car. It drove nice. The air was cold. It was a white with a spoiler on the back, so it was a very attractive car. It has a sentimental value to me, because it is the newest car I have ever owned. It had 30,000 miles on it when I purchased it. We took road trips. I drive 100 miles round trip to work every day, and I have taught two of my kids how to drive in this car.
Story
My family drove to Kentucky a month after we purchased the car, and the trip was so memorable. It was actually the last trip our family was able to take where all the children were present. Now everyone is living their lives, and trips like that are rare.
Pros
The car drives very smooth. The dash is nice and bright which is great, because I have trouble seeing. Even though it is a mid-size car, it handles very easy, and I can see well out of all of my mirrors.
Cons
There was some kind of defect with my doors, When you open and close the door, part of the door would catch, and eventually, it caused cosmetic damage that cost a lot to fix. It's a two-door car, and it is very annoying allowing passengers to get in a out of the car. Also, burns a lot of gas.
