I never thought I would own a minivan... until I had kids. My car was just too small to fit my family of four. I love that it has sliding doors on each side so that I can get my kids in with ease. I love that it has third row seating for extra passengers that I may have and I love that it has an excellent air conditioning system. My kids have more space for their growing bodies and I love that we don't feel so cramped anymore. As much as I fought having one, the Chevy Uplander has changed my mind on how I feel about minivans. If you have a growing family I highly recommend it. I can see it fitting our needs through many years to come.
Story
I think the best memory I have with this vehicle is taking it on my daughter's first trip to the beach. We had so much fun and the ride was made so much better by having the minivan instead of my car. Another one was when I piled my brother's friends into it for a night out on the town for his 21st birthday. If we had used my car we wouldn't have fit everyone in. I was able to make his night... Pros
The top positive things about it are that is has space, the sliding doors for easy access, third row seating, air conditioning, and the comfort of knowing it will meet my family's needs as my children grow.
Cons
The top negative things about it are that it is hard to reach the third row, there isn't much storage area in the back if the third row is being used, the seat belts stick, and the auto lock on one of the doors gets stuck.

The Uplander is reliable and safe, however, many things feel apart on the inside. The air condition vents in the back all fell out, the dashboard cracked, the floor on the passenger side gets wet, the DVD player only works when it wants to, the back top brake light broke, and the handle on the inside of the hatch broke off. We have done our best to keep it nice, but it just seems like things keep going wrong. One of the biggest reasons we bought the Uplander was because it had an DVD player in it, but it doesn't always work. The van is small and doesn't have much extra space or have much storage. As a mother of four children we need more space. Everything under the hood seems to work great! We have only had replace or fix small things. I have had friends in the past that have owned an... Story
My kids and I like to open all the window, blare the song "I Choose the Lord" and sing at the top of our lungs!
Pros
I feel really safe in the Uplander. I love the bucket seats in the middle row and the DVD player my children can use to stay entertained.
Cons
Lots of things broke even though we have tried to keep it nice.
