My minivan is pretty fabulous. At nearly 17 years of age, it shows no real wear. Living in the desert paint usually fades but not my ride! I have all options that were available: OnStar, VHS leather seats roof rack, extended length warner brothers edition. I have seen old cars with cracking leather... my car has perfect interior even though I have carpooled for years with hundreds of stops getting all kids in and out. No leaks, no noises, no problems whatsoever! Just an awesome, reliable vehicle!
Story
We have had so many fun road trips in this van. The most memorable one was driving to Disneyland and planning stops to sight see along the way. We met some fun people who needed help jump starting their car (theirs was new ..ha-ha). When we finally got to Disneyland, we were teased about being at the wrong park because of the Warner Bros. emblem. It was, of course, all in good fun, and the ... (more)
Pros
I love the electric sliding door which has a button that I can control from the overhead console. I love the security that OnStar provides, and I love the VHS system (yes, it still works). My car has out lived most of my friends' vehicles that are even a bit newer. I love the reliability knowing that my van is good solid and dependable. The legroom is amazing. I have been on several road trips and have not yet once heard, "are we there yet?" My 6-ft. tall son has never felt squished sitting in the 3rd row!! its just so awesome!!!
Cons
I wish that my van had dual-sliding doors and an electric lift gate. These are options now available in newer models. I also wish that I had a port to plug in an iPod. I have a cassette/CD tuner, but the idea of a bunch of CDs sloshing around in side the car with all of my kids jumping around is something that sounds insane. I also would have liked the manufacturer to include a full-sized jack instead of the little flimsy one that I wouldn't even trust to prop up a golf cart.

This is a good family vehicle. The seats are easily moved in and out for just about any purpose. It is comfortable and gets around 25 mpg. It makes taking the entire family somewhere easy. It has two side doors, one is automatic and the other is manual. It has a back hatch that would be a little better if it were automatic as well, because it is either closed or higher than a short person can handle. It has hydraulic suspension for a very easy ride on any road. The speakers are quality and the radio has numerous features for finding a preferred station or music type. The vehicle is completely reliable until it hits 100,000 miles, at which point "gremlins" start appearing and it spends almost as much time in the shop as it does on the road.
Story
We have taken this van to the drive in on multiple occasions. We remove the back seats and put a full sized air mattress in the back and can fit a bunch of kids in the back, comfy and cozy for a night of watching movies.
Pros
- Comfort for long trips - Great for the family - Seats come in and out making it perfect to haul six people plus driver, or a refrigerator - Rear passenger control option for heating/cooling - TV for rear passengers to watch - Good gas mileage - Plenty of leg room for all passengers - Most problems easy enough to fix if you have knowledge of vehicles
Cons
- 100,000 miles and beyond the vehicle needs constant repairs - Transmission had to be replaced at 100,000 miles - Electric wiring issues that have been constant where the power looks for a ground, found out to be a common issue with this model - Air conditioner compressor quit working at 100,000 miles - Undiagnosable problem with the idler, beginning at 110,000 miles
