The car was purchased used at five years old and had around 125K miles on it. It now has just over 235K and is still a good runner. The four-wheel drive is excellent for snowy Midwest winters, and the size is perfect for hauling stuff for camping or gardening. It has never let me down. Over the years I have had minimal maintenance: new brakes a couple years ago, ball joints about six years ago, but nothing major you wouldn't expect. The running boards are starting to rust off now, but it has been kept outside for all of its life.
Story
Was on my property and needed to get to the top of the hill where a campsite was set up. Another four-wheel vehicle couldn't climb the hill, but mine went up with ease.
Pros
My favorite features are the size. It is great for carrying everything you need for a weekend get away. I like the fact it doesn't have a computer system taking up half the dash; all the controls are easy to find and use. It has a door-locking mechanism you can access from the rear hatch. It doesn't have a stupid huge key fob you have to carry in your pocket, and all the doors open with a key, even the hatch. I also like that the shift is on the tree, so I can have a catchall container between the seats on the floor instead of a big shifter taking up space. I also like the cloth seats, the... (more)
Cons
I wish it had a few more little pockets for storing things. The rear wiper never quite seats perfect, so it only wipes half the window. The gas mileage is not great. It doesn't have USB or multiple CD player.

I like that it is still running great and it is 16 years old. I love that it's got plenty of power. It does great driving. I like that it sets up higher for me to see out. I really needed it this past winter. Even though it's not a 4x4, I was able to get over the ice and snow pretty good. This is my backup vehicle for when I have inclement weather and recreational activities, or if I have to haul dirty pets.
Story
I get to lay the back seats down and make a couch/bed in the back with a bunch of pillows to go to the drive-in movies. And driving over icy roads like I don't care. Best thing ever!
Pros
This thing is in great condition. The exterior and interior have held up, even with me owning it the past 2 years. I have large tires on it, and even when I make a sharper turn, I don't get any rubbing. This vehicle is not a v8, but it is powerful. It is close to 170,000 miles, and it still runs and drives like a newer car. AC still works. All I have had to do is basic upkeep, so a few hoses have been replaced, belts, seals, just regular stuff for being so old.
Cons
I have the 2 door sport. I love the look, but 2 doors doesn't always cut it. It does have seats that fold down, and when I do this, there is a LOT of room in the back. So it's kind of a give and take situation. Parts for it are getting expensive. And gas mileage is not what you want with prices so high.
