Solid vehicle.
My wife and I purchased our Ford Explorer new from the local dealership after test driving multiple vehicles from different makers. We were impressed with how quiet the Explorer is going down the road. I have found that it has more than enough room for long car trips that my family frequently takes. We can easily fit four large suitcases in the trunk if the third row has been folded down. We chose the limited trim for the heated and cooled seats. The cooled seats make long trips easier, and you do not get as hot sitting in the seat for a long period of time. The Sync system is good for navigation and normal use. The large screen is easy to manipulate while driving with minimal distraction. For a four-wheel drive SUV, we get around 23 MPG which for a four-wheel drive, I am completely happy with. We live in an area with frequent snow and have had the opportunity to use the four-wheel drive multiple times. It has never let us down and has never been stuck. I would without a doubt buy another one.

Ford Explorer 2014.
Overall, this is a great vehicle. It's large, holds seven passengers, and has plenty of room for hauling equipment. In a recent move, we were able to put a full size mattress and a bedroom suit in the back with the seats folded down. As a single woman, it is a bit big for me as I do not need this much room, but I do feel safe in the car because of the size. I also really enjoy that it is able to tow things such as a camper as I plan to buy one in the future. One thing that I don't like about the car is the gas mileage. I'm used to a smaller car, so only getting about 20-21 mpg is definitely something new to me. It goes great in the snow as it has four different traction control options. My option has heated seats which really helps in the northern winters like I have. My other favorite extras are built in navigation (so I don't have to use another GPS), blind spot detectors, and a sun/moon roof. The blind spot detectors were not on my initial list of must haves, but they are something I don't think I could live without at this point. They are extremely helpful and I feel like I always know what's going on around me when I'm driving on a multiple lane highway.

Great family vehicle
The vehicle I drive is great for everyday use. I have three small children and I love that I can fit three large car seats in and still have room for other items, people or dogs if needed. The third row is what we needed and it passes that test. As my children grow I am afraid they won't have enough leg room in that 3rd row, though. The very back trunk space is spacious enough to fit our double stroller but not too large. The vehicle is still pretty short which I like for parking. When the air is turned on high one of the vents does rattle and I have just recently noticed an issue defrosting my front windshield. These are minor problems. We have driven this vehicle across country but mostly I drive short distances and the vehicle has held up well.
