I do like that the vehicle is very comfortable, very spacious, even to drive it is splendid. The only one they had was a dark navy blue and that is what made me fall in love with this vehicle, had that only solid color not as many Ford Explorer which the bottom trim is all plastic around the bottom. The side view mirrors are the size of a big truck, which help with seeing everything behind you and not missing one thing, avoiding accidents. I do not like that it actually consumes a lot of Gas, this vehicle is more for a family outing, in the city it consumes a lot but in going further distances is great! The Air Conditioner is great that it has a slot for the passengers in the back, but only has one vent, I believe since it holds up to 3 seats that it should be a couple more vents to help for the 3rd row. The transmission of these vehicles is not very good, they end up giving you a lot of inconveniences in the future, so is always better to keep upgrading 2 or 3 years on the vehicle to see if the kinks on transmissions have been fixed, something that unfortunately happens with many Ford vehicles.

Ford Explorer - AMAZING!!!!
This car is absolutely amazing! I knew before I got this vehicle that Explorers were good, but I did not expect to have such a good experience. I have reached almost 100,000 miles and have not had one major issue. The only thing I have had to worry about is the normal wear and tear like tires, brakes, wheel barings, etc.... There are no rattles or shakes and the interior looks like new! No tears or stains. I have the optional third row and I love it for when my whole family goes somewhere we can all go in one car. The paint only has one minor chip but its so small you can't see it unless you are looking for it. The lights are still the original and work like new, no fogging or scratches. The engine runs great. No weird noises and still has good power. I wish the vehicle was raised a little higher than it is now, but that is something I could do if I really wanted. I didn't find anything wrong with the actual vehicle. It is great in the snow - where I live we get large snowfalls and barely see a plow so I am able to get where I need to regardless. Also has good gas mileage for that size of vehicle. Right now I am getting 15 city and 18 highway, sometimes 20 depending on how long the trip is. There is enough space for my two large dogs so I can take them to the park and they love it!

When I came across a 2006 Ford Explorer for only a grand off craig's list, of course I was a bit apprehensive. But I checked it out and it seemed pretty clean, and the title was good. At first this car was to be my primary commuter to work, but the gas mileage just wasn't there for that. But I sure do love that 4x4 lever. This thing puts my old jeep wrangler, may it rest in pieces, to shame. In fact, I've winched out several Jeeps while out playing in the mountains now, with the exception of mud!
