The 2005 Mustang is one of the best purchases I have made. The body was a remodel of the older Mustangs that really brought back the feel of the older vehicles with the new mechanics. I felt that the new Mustang´s mechanical specifics were just as good of quality as the older models and the look of the vehicle outweighed the price. The interior could have been made to look a bit nicer as the plastic was molded well, but the look came out kind of cheap. I purchased the car with 7 miles on it as a dealer model. I have driven this vehicle across the country four times with no problems (with regular maintenance). In the past year the only problem is that I have been involved in two accidents (both others fault) and have had the vehicle fixed with no problems.
Story
Driving cross country in the 2005 Mustang was surprisingly comfortable. The bucket seats are very cushy and the adjustability of the firmness was a lot of help on those overnighters.
Pros
The horsepower is amazing, and the air conditioner still blows as cold as ice even when the mechanic has said my freon was almost empty. The battery life (in the Texas desert) is great.
Cons
I have noticed that the added weight to the front end has caused me to hydroplane once or twice (when I was not diligent to get my tires replaced). Other than that no problems..

2005 Ford Mustang - Wonderful car if you don't treat it like a racecar.

This vehicle has been very reliable once I started treating it less like a race car. It came with a great sounding 1,000 watt bass system that was stock from the factory, but it consumed about 1/4 of the trunk, if not more. The most serious repairs I have had to do was replace the transmission and replace the lifters in the engine. Don't let this deter you though; I bought the car when I was around 16 and was extremely hard on it. It has 190,500 miles on it and running like a champ. I expect to get another 75,000 to 100,000 more miles out of it.
Story
Years ago, before UberEats or Grubhub was ever conceived, I had just graduated high school and felt that there was a need for food delivery. I was naive about business and knew very little about how to run one. Despite all this, I decided to start a business that would deliver food from any restaurant. I called the company CourierXpressIndy, built a website, bought decal magnets for my must... (more)
Pros
Something really cool about the car is that the lights on the dash change colors. There is a lot of leg room in the front seats. The sound system is exceptional. The GT doesn't accelerate past 150, but it doesn't take long to get there! It will go approximately 320+/- miles on one full tank of fuel.
Cons
The original Ford stereo had a serious issue with the paint wearing off the buttons. I ended up replacing it with an aftermarket stereo. The seats are not conducive to a healthy spine. The leather-like paneling on the door comes off after time. There aren't any lights on the visor mirrors. There is very little leg room in the back seats. Something extremely strange about this year of Mustang is that there is no way to pop open the trunk from inside the vehicle! It must be done from the car key.
