Redesigned exterior features and the powerful V8 engine on the 2018 Ford Mustang are a big hit. Reviewers also remark favorably on the comfortable front seats, though they're not pleased with the cramped rear seating. The 10-speed automatic transmission sometimes fumbles during transitions, but the six-speed manual transmission option is popular. With its bold styling, beautiful and functional digital instrument cluster and range of available trims, this classic car is even better than before.
2018 Ford Mustang - Deeply cool car, fun to drive.
I love this Mustang, although I thought I would not so much as I like the classic older cars. But the look of this is very cool, and the drive is very smooth. Lots of great features. I'm happy with it.
Story
Fun the time I finally let my Dad drive it on the road home from a trip to Vegas. I was tired and hung over, or I wouldn't have let him drive it, it's still too new to share. But his face when he was driving and the fun he had was good to watch.
Pros
Sleek look, lots of good features, love some of the delightful extras like the pony hologram on the ground when you click the key. Drives very smoothly but I like the kind of grrrr sound it makes, if that makes any sense, feels powerful. Good connection features, great navigation panel and GPS. Fun color choices, nice interior. Like the touch features, the old Mustang was 1991 and didn't have any of these features.
Cons
I miss the convertible top I had in the old Mustang, and the back seat is not extremely spacious. I had thought about e cars or hybrid, but didn't make that choice - it probably would have been more economical. I play baseball and run a tournament team - there really isn't a lot of trunk space for all the gear I have to haul, so usually use a different vehicle when traveling to games.
