I have a 2009 Mustang. It is the basic version, but the 45th anniversary edition. My car is a pretty Duke blue. So far I haven't had any major problems with my car. It rides pretty smooth for a muscle car. The only thing is it drives pretty loud. You wouldn't be able to sneak up on anybody with my car. This could become an issue if your trying to have a conversation with someone on the phone. They always hear your car in the background noise. Also, the turn signal is really loud. It is probably the loudest turn signal I've heard on any car. This car shifts pretty clean when increasing speed. I use to have a Mazda that was very heavy in the way it switched gears. The car seems to be pretty sturdy, because it's been hit from the back, and I didn't have any major issues. I also ran over ... (more)
Story
The most memorable story I have about my car was when I ran over an orange cone going 80 mph. The cone rolled through my front bumper and rolled out of the back of my car. I didn't stop, because I figured that everything was okay. I didn't realize until way later that my bumper was broken in half. It tore the bumper in half, but the bumper was still holding on.
Pros
One of my favorite things about my vehicle is the iPod connector that is connected in the inner console of the car. I am able to connect my iPod or iPhone and play music from Pandora, Spotify and other sites, and I can control it all through my radio. This is great for me because I enjoy listening to music. Another thing I like about my car is the paint job I must say the paint job on this car is way better than my previous car. The paint has a slight shimmer in it which is awesome when it's all clean and the sun hits it just right. One of my other favorite feature is the change keeper in... (more)
Cons
One thing that I dislike about my car are the seats. The seats are a light grey color which I guess I could live with, but they are cloth seats. If you know anything about cloth seats they stain very bad. For instance, if I have any kind of liquid touch the seat it stains. So on any given day I have multiple spots on my seats which makes the seats look really dirty. They are also hard to clean. I've tried numerous seat cleaners, but I haven't found one that does the job just right. One thing I wish was that my back seat had a little more space. I understand that it's a two door so ... My favorite thing about this car is its ability to beat every similarly-priced (and even a fair amount of more expensive cars) off the line at the stoplight. It's the very first car I've ever driven with a significant amount of torque, and boy is it fun! Even after nearly five years owning this car, it still feels fresh and exciting to drive every day.
Story
I get lots of compliments on this vehicle--especially from first dates. One of my first dates, when we were leaving and it became obvious which car was mine, exclaimed excitedly, "Is that your car!?" I assured her that it was while trying not to look too smug.
Pros
One nifty thing about this car is that the windows will go down slightly whenever you open the door and close after you've closed the door so that you don't strip the rubber sealant off the top of the window frame with repeated use. I only purchased the standard model, so most of the other features are common across all cars: it has power windows, power steering, ABS brakes, an auxiliary port to plug in an MP3 player and also a CD player. The sound quality on this car is very pleasant, although the bass is a little low. Most people would probably want to add a subwoofer to the sound system... (more)
Cons
The vehicle does suffer from a poorly designed interior. My vehicle had a manufacturer defect that repeatedly caused rain water to well in the inside of my vehicle--specifically, in the passenger side's seating area where a passenger would put their feet. That had to be repaired at a Ford dealership, and it hasn't recurred since. The other major interior issue is that the driver's side vinyl has already fallen off, and that could not be repaired or replaced at the dealership. The biggest con about the vehicle is its poor handling in the snow. It has front-wheel drive and gets very easily s... (more)
