2001 Chevrolet Blazer - 2001 isn't the best year.

Overall, the Blazer has been one of the best vehicles ever made. They are usually reliable, have ample power, and at the time, had decent mpg. However, they implemented a new fuel injection system that has proven to be less reliable. At 117,000 miles, the fuel system is having major problems. It can get started and drive every time, but it's very hard to start. Overall, I am very satisfied from the reliability of this vehicle.
Story
The greatest memory with this Blazer, was doing a long burn out in front of a lot of kids at the downriver cruise. It's a family tradition.
Pros
The greatest thing about the blazer is it's size. You can weave in and out of traffic, all while having enough power from the manual transmission to get around cars with no fear of hesitation. The next greatest thing, is the sound system. With 2 6.5" speakers in front and 2 6x9" speakers in the back, there is plenty of bass and definition to be satisfied. The last thing I would say is a pro, is the ease of work on most components and the low cost of replacement.
Cons
The only true con to the blazer, is the spider fuel system that can cause leaks and no start conditions. There are a few small rattles here and there from cheap components. The interior itself feels cheap as well, you know it's Chevy when you get inside. The vehicle doesn't get the best gas mileage compared to most now-a-days. The little blazer does a lot of great things, but hauling a lot of stuff isn't one of them.

My blazer has been an amazing vehicle, really fantastic in the rough winters in the country. The four wheel drive has really come in handy on these winding roads in the snow and ice. We have driven it 211,000 miles and it still runs great. When we travel, between the roof racks and the trunk space, we have plenty of room for a family of five for all of our stuff.
Story
Me and my family drive the blazer to the Smokey Mountians every year. We have a lot of really great memories in the blazer.
Pros
I would have to say that my favorite feature of the blazer would be the four wheel drive, considering just how bad winters here can get. It has great air conditioning for the hot summer days, too. Also it comes with the roof racks for carrying stuff but has enough space in the back you don't have to use the racks if you don't want.
Cons
With ten, fifteen, and sixteen year old sons, I wish there was a little more space because the bigger the kids get we are running out of room for everyone to ride on a long trip.
