Overall the Trailblazer is a good family truck. I have the extended version which makes the truck heavier which intern makes the pickup slower. The inside is roomy and the cloth seats a very comfortable. I have over 100,000 miles on the truck and it has had minimal problems. The truck has a 3rd row seating option which is great when driving my children and their friends places. It is not a speed demon by any means but it is a solid vehicle. The service engine light comes on from time to time but I believe that is attributed to a loose gas cap. It is a very safe truck with 4 airbags and with all wheel drive or a 4x4 option. Some of the maintenance on the truck is harder than what I had on previous vehicles. Like changing the driver's side headlight. I did not like doing this because it ... (more)
Story
We bout it in December of 2012. In April we drove it to Duluth on a road trip and used the 4x4 for the first time going through some snow drifts. It was exciting and scary at the same time
Pros
Comfortable seating. Solid feel to the truck. The color. Towing package. Power windows and drivers seat.
Cons
Very bad pickup power. Trying to do maintenance on the truck.

I bought this car cheap roughly 6 years ago with the intention of just using it for the snow. Now I don't think I ever want to trade it in. It's got 140k miles on it and the engine still purrs like a kitten. The interior is comfortable and the controls are simple (perfect!). Best of all: this thing is a god in the snow. For people looking for a great snow vehicle, you can't beat this suv. Nothing scares me while I'm driving this. I abuse this car massively - driving over curbs, off-roading, putting the "top heavy" feature to the test on these curvy roads, and treating it like my own personal toboggan in the snow. Did I mention it also has tons of space for hauling? Love love love it.
Story
Driving it around on the snowy roads of Alaska are a lot of fun!
Pros
This car's ability in the snow is amazing. As someone who frequently deals with snow here in the mountains, I can't praise this vehicle enough. Throw some snow tires on it and watch it out-perform all the others in harsh conditions. The folding seats make tons of room for hauling a variety of things. And the reliability is astounding to me. 140K miles and still no hiccups? Either I'm lucky or this thing really is built to last. Beat that, Ford!
