I picked this truck up about 6 years ago. I bought it from a family friend who worked in the oil field. I knew that this truck had been beat on just about everyday that it was used to work. From the start I could tell that this truck was tough. The no frills interior meant that I didn't have to worry about the window motors or doors locks burning out and the little nicks and dings weren't that worrisome. The only thing that I cared about was the ice cold A/C, hot as hell heat, and the 6 liter V8 that could pull anything I wanted. Not a single time since I've owned the truck has it ever let me down. From hauling trailers to exploring the countryside, this truck has taken me everywhere without problem. The older body style means that I can do the majority of the work on, which has saved ... Story
Drove the truck across the county and hit multiple snow storms. Took 32 hours and I slept in the cab, but it was worth it.
Pros
The 6 liter V8 can pull any hill and haul any trailer with ease. The limited slip differential in the 4x4 systems means that the truck can get out of the gnarliest situation. The no frills interior lets people know that you're humble and down to earth. The blast furnace heater can melt even the coldest of hearts.
Cons
10 miles to the gallon coasting downhill with a tailwind, but it's consistent. Pulling 20,000 pounds? 10 MPG. Truck fully empty? 10 MPG. Only driving to church on Sundays? 10 MPG.

We've had this truck for 15 years and it's still going strong.
Pros
The truck was rather affordable when we purchased it. It has a leather interior, and even though it's now an older vehicle, when I picked my mother up for a ride once, she said, "Wow! It's really nice!" It's very dependable, and we haven't had to take it in to get any major issues fixed. It has a nice message system in the dashboard, to alert you of any issues the vehicle may be experiencing. It's served us well in several moves, as well as hauling things like wood and so on. Very sturdy. Also, this truck is almost impossible to break into, short of smashing a window. We've had to contact ... (more)
Cons
We've had some issues with some of the features. After about 7 years, the fuel gauge began to bounce around, making it impossible to tell exactly how much gas was in the tank. Also, the key recognition system went out, so even when using the correct key, it would not recognize and start up. We took it to the dealership to get it fixed, but it cost over 400 dollars.
