The truck has never let me down, has been rugged and a joy to drive.
I love driving my Chevy Silverado. I've always wanted a Silverado and when I got the chance to finally buy one, I jumped for it. I had previously driven a full-size truck and found it hard to park and get around corners in town. I no longer have that issue with my Silverado. Also, as I am a short woman, I like the ability to sit up higher than a car but not so high that I need a step ladder to get in. The Silverado fits that bill perfectly. This particular truck is basic in it's styling--no frills--and I like that. There's less to go wrong. As far as driving my Silverado goes, overall I really enjoy it. It's easy to control even if it's a bit bouncy in the back end. I can see out of it very well (one of the things I love about trucks in general). Best of all, I still have plenty of room in the bed for all my groceries during our monthly shopping trip AND I have plenty of room for all my gardening supplies. Who says you need a full-sized truck to do everything? I've gone a lot of places with my truck from city to farm to mountains. The six cylinder Silverado does well in most of those situations, although, I wish it had a bit more power in higher altitudes. But for my overall driving experience, I'd give the Silverado a 8.5 Out of 10 for pleasure, comfort and drivability.
