The Chevy Silverado, specifically the Z71 models, are top of the line in not only quality but they last such a long long time for the top quality. The gas on these vehicles is moderately good for an old truck but it still goes strong to this day. The interior is extremely roomy and, in my opinion, way ahead of it's time in design. Comfortable, cozy, Chevy.
Story
I remember going to South Padre Island for vacation and having to pull out a 2010 Ford out of the sand with my old 2005 Chevy. Good times.
Pros
The best things about the truck are obviously the things it is meant to have that other vehicles don't - 4 wheel drive for example. This truck can take newer models out of sticky situations with the power and pull that it brings. The A/C in this model seems to be particularly good, and it seems to cool lots faster than newer vehicles do.
Cons
After about 10 years, the vehicle did start falling apart a bit. Brake lights had to be replaced a few times. The gas is not great if you are going to be using it in a city and waiting at lights with an idle engine. Although the A/C does cool faster than most vehicles I've been in, the design of the windshield makes it extremely easy for the sun to heat the interior. So if you are in a particularly hot area you will have to wait for the A/C to cool off a little more due to the large surface area of the glass.

The vehicle itself is a great truck. Its engine has a ton of power and its able to tow large boats and haul lots of stuff in the bed. Inside the cab its roomy and you feel like you are sitting on a throne almost. It is a big truck, so a lot of the smaller parking decks or parking lots you may have trouble parking, but it does what it sets out to do, which is be a big ole truck, quite well. I put in a toolbox to give it an added look.
Pros
Control of the truck felt really easy, it was very smooth, for a large vehicle. The 4x4 and tires/suspension was great, very smooth and flat drive. Roomy, spacious, and the automatic computers and steering wheel control of the radio etc. Were nice. So was the 6cd changer Bose audio was really good.
Cons
Fuel mileage. They said it gets like 17 around the city but its closer to 13-14. The bumper and lights could be upgraded, they look just ok at the backdrop of more luxury items elsewhere on similar models.
