The vehicle is a now old ford expedition. I liked the bulky looking reliable exterior and engine. The quality is surprisingly good and performs quite well on and off the road.
Story
Road Trip to Grand Canyon
Pros
The radio has a great sound system installed. The tires did last for quite a while. The vehicle seats quite a lot of people. The trunk holds a lot of storage space. The a/c system is quite refreshing. The locking dash cupboard is a good feature. The suspension on the car is quite well. Though, the tank can hold quite a bit of gas.
Cons
The vehicle does get hot quite easily. The tires blew at the worst capable time. It needs a peripheral device for new tech. There is no sky light. The seats can get quite dusty. The spark plugs gave way after a couple of years. There aren't any modern amenities like Bluetooth. The gas mileage is not that great. The engine isn't a diesel. The glass has had some cracks. The car is quite hard to clean.

The vehicle is spacious, and the interior is definitely a cut above the standard Expedition and Explorer. The vehicle handles well and performs as a utility vehicle should. I do not like the fact that the engine light remains on, even after extensive dealership work and thousands of dollars. The vehicle doubles as a family "go to" car and a "U-HAUL." Because of the vehicle's interior design and length, it is easy to haul building materials like molding and board, which might not fit into an average utility vehicle.
Story
My daughter is a band member. She, along with 8 of her band mates, were stranded at school one day. The bus broke down, and they weren't able to get to competition. We let down the third row seats, and they (all 8 of them) crowded into the vehicle and made it on time to the competition. We laughed and sung all the way to the competition. I was Band mom of the year!
Pros
The Eddie Bauer Expedition holds a significant amount of gas, so taking long trips are always a positive, unless a driver is partial to stopping for bathroom breaks. The fuel light does not hesitate to pop on when the driver is running low on gas. The light indicates that the driver can drive safely (gas-wise) for at least another 30 miles, dependent upon speed. The Expedition handles well, and even though it is a large, heavy vehicle, it still stops on a dime when the brakes are in good shape. The interior is made of a luxurious leather. The interior is also comfortable. The seats ar... (more)
Cons
Although the gas mileage is great on the highway, it isn't as good in the city. A full tank of gas will cost a driver about $58. The stop and go in the city limits, will easily drain the tank. The vehicle performs well, but a driver must always consider the tip-over effect, especially at high speeds and in high winds. At 80mph, I can easily feel wind sheer when I'm driving. In addition, the vehicle can be somewhat noisy when it comes to road noise. The quality of the paint needs to be improved somewhat. The gold trim seems to chip more than the dominant color, black. The interior o... (more)
