I bought a Ford Expedition EL in two thousand ten, and have loved every minute of it since. I upgraded my Ford Explorer needing something bigger with children coming in the near future. Since I have bought my Expedition, I have moved to the other side of the country towing my Explorer behind on a trailer. I had no problems towing, I really didn't even was towing it behind unless I looked at the rear view mirror. It came with a DVD package, which is great for the kids in the back seat. The only bad thing about the DVD player is who gets to watch what at that time. It came with the third row seat, for those extended family vacations other than that it stays folded down. It has plenty of room in the back because even the second row folds down too. I have actually put a full size couch in ... (more)
Story
I was coming home from work when a big turkey ran out in front of me. I hit it going 45 dead center in the front bumper, it shot up about 5 feet in the air, it fell and hobble to the side of the road. The next day there was a dead turkey on the side of the road where I hit it. No damage to my expedition at all.
Pros
1. The space inside to fit small to very large items. 2. I feel like there's is nobody out there that is bigger than me. 3. Seats up to 8 people.
Cons
1. Gas 2. Cost to fix problems(vehicle is bigger which means bigger parts.) 3. Parking is not as easy.

I bought a Ford Expedition after several years of research and test driving different vehicles. I was skeptical at first because of the size of the vehicle and the fact that I am a small woman. We were in need of a larger vehicle because of having children and our growing farm. Third row seating and good towing capacity were a must. I have had the SUV now for several years with absolutely no major issues. It does everything I ask it to do and then some. I recently bought a 14' livestock trailer to haul goats and pigs, and it pulls the trailer like a dream. It also has back-up warning, so when I need to back up to my barn, I am never worried that I may run into something. There is a entertainment system with a DVD player in the rear, which is fantastic for my children for long rides. T... (more)
Story
I just learned how to back up my livestock trailer and load my goats to take them to auction. FYI, if you give the goats a chance, they will also try to enjoy the third row of seats!
Pros
Price. GPS. Entertainment system. Third row seating. Towing capacity.
Cons
My only complaint about this vehicle is that is can be expensive to maintain. I paid well over $600 for spark plugs and wires to be replaced at the dealership, and I know when the time comes putting new tires on it will put a dent in my bank account.
