We were looking for a large SUV to accommodate our growing family. We now have three small children, and this car make us feel safe on the road. It has built in steel bars under the sides and sits much higher than other cars. It has the size of a truck but drives quietly like a car. We haven't had any issues with the car at all other than oil changes and minor maintenance. It is much more stylish than a van with all of the room. It is very reliable and very comfortable to drive. We just had our third baby, and were trying to figure out the best way to be able to fit all three car seats while still using the third row. It is very easy to fold down the middle seats, which makes putting the two older kids in the third row an easy option.
Story
The one thing we do have a concern about is it fitting in parking garages. We had a baby locally and the hospital garage height maximum is 6'7", so we took our smaller car to be safe.
Pros
Size Steel bars under sides for impact safety for kids third row DVD player rear cup holders
Cons
No air-ride gas mileage

Very comfortable to drive and handles well for a large SUV. Accelerates well for a large vehicle. Expedition limited package gives the vehicle an extremely sharp look. Great when it snows, worry-free driving. Comfortably seats up to eight people.
Story
The first time I took it camping, it rained so hard we actually wound up sleeping in it the first night we were there rather than try to set up the tent in the pouring rain.
Pros
It is very well built and reliable. Helpful onboard diagnostic system. It really handles adverse weather conditions. It has an excellent four-wheel drive system. ABS - anti-lock braking system. Traction control system works well. Navigation system. Climate control. Rear view camera with object detect sensor. DVD system. Heated and cooled seats. 20" wheels. Leather seats. Premium sound system. Large cargo capacity. Great for camping. TPS - tire pressure monitoring system. Moonroof. Rear passenger heat controls.
Cons
It has poor gas mileage. It will not fit in parking garages below 7 feet in height. It can be difficult to park on the street in the city. It is expensive to maintain. Expensive for parts and repairs. It has a high cost of insurance. It will not fit in my condo's underground parking. The tires are very expensive. It is difficult to clean the chrome clad wheels.
