The 1984 Corvette was a very cool car when first released with a big body style change, but it came with the crossfire intake system. This makes it hard to find parts for or even increase power with performance options. It only has 205 HP but is still very fun and responsive to drive.
Story
When I took it out for a test drive, I pulled out of the lot spinning out and floored it until about 100. I was not going to buy a car that was not fast. When I got back, the salesman did not even mention it.
Pros
It is a very cool looking car, and the body is made of fiberglass so rust is not a worry.
Cons
it is hard to find performance parts for it and they are expensive. The dash is notorious for having shorts.

I love Corvette's. They are fun when they work. Mine has one problem after another. When I bought it, it ran great. But after a year, it broke down again and again.
Story
Taking my wife on one of our first dates and breaking down on the way home.
Pros
It's a convertible, so it's great in the summer. Easy to work on your self. Parts are not too pricey. Cheap to insure since it's old. Fast car and great on the highway. It definitely throws you back in your seat. It hugs the road by itself -- good alignment.
Cons
Very cold in the winter. If it sits, it won't start. Horrible on gas. Six mph is good. I used to drive with extra gas cans in the back because of how bad the fuel economy was. It even has a hidden compartment to carry another gas can.
