2007 Chevrolet Corvette - The 2007 Joy Machine
My 2007 Corvette is a fun, performance machine. It has a very strong LS2 engine with a six-speed manual transmission. I like the interior; it is very much like a cockpit where everything is focused around the driver. It has a smooth ride with exceptional handling. I have had some catalytic converter issues with it, which is not the first time I've had a GM car with those issues.
Story
I once let my girlfriend drive the car in a parking lot - she is unable to drive a stick. There was a lot of stalling and some tire chirping. She was timid so luckily no damage would be done.
Pros
I love the stance of the car. I think the car is visually stunning. It has a removal top which makes it look very European when removed. It handles incredibly well and is easy to drive. The seats are comfortable, the leg room is impressive, and the blind spots are not too bad. The hatch has a surprising amount of space considering the small size of it. A smaller guitar amp can even fit in there. The data given by the information center is also useful.
Cons
For being such a high-priced, American-made sports car, there is a lot of plastic inside. It has moments of rattling when the road isn't totally smooth. The ride is also hindered by the condition of the road, as is most sports cars. It requires run-flat tires as it has no space for a jack or a spare. It also requires high-octane fuel. The fuel economy could be a little better.
2007 Chevrolet Corvette - Best car ever
I have always loved the looks of the C6 Corvette ever since it came out. I think its has the best lines of all the Corvette generations. The LS2 engine in this car is amazing, lots of power and really fast. I was very impressed with the cars fuel economy Its amazing that a car with this amazing performance can average over 20 miles to the gallon. The Z51 package on my car adds big vented brakes that bring the car to a halt fast. The interior is a major improvement over the previous generation cars. The car is the star of the show on any road or parking lot. Sunday drives results in a lot of thumb ups from other drivers and many compliments in parking lots. The look and feel is no longer cheap and plastic looking. This is by far the best car I have ever owned.
