The 2004 Chevy Corvette is the most fun car I have ever owned. The ride is fast with excellent acceleration. It corners on a dime, and has extremely responsive brakes. Sunday drives through the back roads near my house are always pure joy. Rolling down the windows and removing the T-Top for easy storage in the built-in mount located in the rear hatch, makes for an almost convertible like experience even though it's a coupe. Both city and highway mileage is fairly good for a large V8 engine clocking in at 20mpg in the city and 25mpg at highway speeds. The car can be used as a daily driver although there is much more fun to be had as a weekend cruiser.
Story
On any given Sunday during the warmer months, you'll find me out on the back streets cruising with the radio up and the T-Top down. This is just a fun ride to own.
Pros
Quick Acceleration - making good use of the large engine Corners Well - turning is tight Brakes - very responsive Run Flat Tires - no spare needed
Cons
Noise - As with many other sports cars, there can be excessive road noise Stiff Suspension - can be a little rough on long highway drives No Rear Seating - one passenger only Expensive Repairs - parts and labor costs can add up quickly

Of all of the cars on the used market, nothing comes close to the performance value that is available in a C5 generation corvette Z06. For $20-$30k depending on year/mileage/condition, you get a car that does 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and is as reliable as anything out there. The car is easy to work on and diagnose, and there is an extensive ownership base out there that is ready and willing to provide any help you may need in fixing any small issues that come up. This is the second C5 Z06 that I have owned (first fell victim to being totaled in a flood) and it is a great car.
Story
I get many positive comments on the vehicle from random strangers.
Pros
Outright performance, be it in a straight line or handling. Great looking car. Great gas mileage for something that is over 400 horsepower (19city/28hwy). Very reliable. Cheap to insure.
Cons
While my first C5z was perfect, this second one has had some electrical issues that I have had to battle, but it also has a high end sound system in it as well as extensive engine work done to it. Nothing that I can't tackle with the help of some webforums, however.
