Best performance for the dollar on the market
Of all of the cars on the used market, nothing comes close to the performance value that is available in a C5 generation corvette Z06. For $20-$30k depending on year/mileage/condition, you get a car that does 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and is as reliable as anything out there. The car is easy to work on and diagnose, and there is an extensive ownership base out there that is ready and willing to provide any help you may need in fixing any small issues that come up. This is the second C5 Z06 that I have owned (first fell victim to being totaled in a flood) and it is a great car.

My Favorite Sportscar
The 2004 Chevy Corvette is the most fun car I have ever owned. The ride is fast with excellent acceleration. It corners on a dime, and has extremely responsive brakes. Sunday drives through the back roads near my house are always pure joy. Rolling down the windows and removing the T-Top for easy storage in the built-in mount located in the rear hatch, makes for an almost convertible like experience even though it's a coupe. Both city and highway mileage is fairly good for a large V8 engine clocking in at 20mpg in the city and 25mpg at highway speeds. The car can be used as a daily driver although there is much more fun to be had as a weekend cruiser.
