I really like everything about the Chevrolet Traverse; it is an excellent car for my family. It has a lot of seating, which is great for larger families. This has third-row seating, and both rows in the back seat three each. The back rows arenÕt cramped at all. The seats are comfortable and easy to clean. ItÕs easy to get into the back row, with the easy flip up of one of the middle seats. One lever flips the seat forward and out of the way to enable getting through to the back. The farthest row has compartments and cup holders, which I like. The second row also has cup holders in both doors, and there is also a portion that flips down behind the middle seat that has two more cup holders and a storage compartment. The back seat has its own climate controls that can be accessed by the b... (more)
Story
One day we decided to go to the lake, and in my old vehicle, we never had the room to pack enough to go all day. We had the room with our Traverse so we went for it. We had bags of clothes, a huge cooler packed full of ice and drinks and cold snacks, and bags full of snacks. We had our beach chairs, umbrella, floating devices for the kids, blankets, towels, and so much more. When we got to the... (more)
Pros
I like that all the seats can be laid down in the back if I ever need to put something large in there. I like how easy it is to fold all of the seats down and to put them back into place. I like the cloth interior that is easy to wipe clean with a rag if we have a spill. I think my favorite part of the car is the seating. A lot of people are surprised that it fits so many and so comfortably. It looks like itÕs smaller than it really is. It is a sharp-looking vehicle, and I think itÕs attractively designed inside and out. ItÕs a great vehicle for everyday as well as for long travels and roa... (more)
Cons
The one thing I donÕt like a whole lot is that it seems to shift a little different. It seems to shift hard, but I have driven a couple of these same vehicles and they all do the same thing. It just takes some getting used to. I also donÕt really like the really deep tracks in the floor of the back row. A lot of dirt and crumbs get in there if there is no carpet back there to cover them. One thing I also found out quickly is not to have your face in front of the middle-row seat when you are folding it forward to get into the back. The seat flies forward so fast and hard it will hurt your f... (more)

2014 Chevrolet Traverse - This is a great vehicle. It's big enough for our family and cargo, and small enough to feel like I don't need two lanes for traveling.

The Traverse is roomy enough for a family with growing tween and teenage boys and all the groceries to feed them at the same time. It has comfortable seating in the driver and passenger row and the middle row. The third row seating is fine for smaller passengers. The seats fold down easily for more cargo space. The gas mileage of an average of 22 miles per gallon with the rural driving that I do is great for the size and power. Cruising uphill is easy with the powerful engine. The rear back-up camera has a great wide angle view which is a good thing because the design leaves several blind spots that make it dangerous without the camera. The metal between the windshield and the passenger window create another blind spot that requires the driver moving forward and backward to see when tu... (more)
Story
We were planning my son's wedding and decided to go with a fairy tale garden theme. My job was to find dead tree branches we could use to add lights and flowers to. I was driving home one day and spotted several on the side of the road. I whipped around and pulled over near the branches. I proceeded to put all the seats down so I could stick them in the back to take home. I realized they were ... (more)
Pros
The Traverse gets 22 miles per gallon on average for the type of driving I do, which is mostly rural. There is a good amount of room in the back when the seats are down for plenty of cargo space for those flea market finds, groceries for growing boys, and hauling bicycles. I love the power the Traverse gets while going uphill. It performs like an 8 cylinder cruising up the hills without losing speed or having the engine work hard.
Cons
The design of the Traverse gives it several blind spots for the driver. Without the backup camera, it would be dangerous to back out of a driveway or parking spot. The metal between the windshield and the front windows create a blind spot when turning. It means that as a driver, I have to be extra vigilant and willing to move around to see while backing up and turning.
