2014 Chevrolet Traverse - Great Family Car
Love this car with a large family. The third row seating is a must. Anyone with a lot of gear to travel with this is a must. Will fit 7-8 people comfortably. Will also have room for some stuff with that many people. Nice vehicle great ride. Love having the jump drive option for music. Have to be careful about the size of the drive too large and it will reset and start back from the beginning.

Great for moving things. Great for travelling with lots of stuff.

Third row seating the foldable third row so that you can pack more. My 3 children can fit comfortably in the middle row. Many options for music without paying for satellite.

The head rests you can not attach anything to them. Wish it had the hard drive to load the music onto. Wish it had blue tooth capability. People in the 3rd row have to be small. Wish it had the door lock like the Equinox that you hit a button when needed and can have it off when not needed. Needs to be able to remove second row if need to for cleaning or moving. Occasionally the radio shuts off and then will turn back on and start you off on the music where ever you were when you turned the car on the first time.

2014 Chevrolet Traverse - Excellent family vehicle!
I really like everything about the Chevrolet Traverse; it is an excellent car for my family. It has a lot of seating, which is great for larger families. This has third-row seating, and both rows in the back seat three each. The back rows arenÕt cramped at all. The seats are comfortable and easy to clean. ItÕs easy to get into the back row, with the easy flip up of one of the middle seats. One lever flips the seat forward and out of the way to enable getting through to the back. The farthest row has compartments and cup holders, which I like. The second row also has cup holders in both doors, and there is also a portion that flips down behind the middle seat that has two more cup holders and a storage compartment. The back seat has its own climate controls that can be accessed by the back passengers easily. There is headphone jacks there as well. I really like the design of the seating and how there is still a trunk with room for groceries or the kids bags. If more room is needed for the trunk area I really like that the back row of seats can be easily laid forward with easy to reach handles. There is also straps to pull the seats back up into place, making it super easy if the need arises. The seats are broken into one and then the other two, so you can lay one section or both down depending on what you need for room and seats. I like the seats in the front of the car too. They are comfortable and very adjustable. The power seats can be adjusted forward and back, up and down, and the part you sit on can also tilt up and back. The upper can recline and it also has lumbar control. I like the light controls and that it has auto mode so they will shut off a few minutes after the car is shut down. I like the location of the information buttons below the stereo, which allows scrolling through a lot of information like gas mileage, miles to empty, trips a and b settings, and much more. The cruise control is on the steering wheel as well as stereo controls. This car drives very good, and itÕs a comfortable riding car, even on bumpy dirt roads. On the highway, it goes down the road really smooth. It gets decent gas mileage, and itÕs been an easy to maintain car. It isnÕt a huge powerhouse off the stop, but once you get going, it accelerates quicker. ItÕs a very comfortable car to drive, and I like that I can easily see to the sides, front and back of me when IÕm in the drivers seat. I also like that it has back-up sensors. I think, overall, itÕs a great car, and I would buy one again. I like that it seats so many, but itÕs not a huge vehicle thatÕs hard to maneuver. I feel like I am driving my kids around in a safe vehicle, and that counts for a lot. I can cart around my kids and their baggage easily. I would severely miss this vehicle if I didnÕt have it anymore. I have never had so much room and felt so safe and comfortable driving before. I used to have a bigger vehicle, and it seated less and was a pain to park and drive. I am so glad I ditched that and got this. I wish I made the switch long ago! It has everything I need. Everything works well. It drives nice, looks nice, and has been a reliable and easy to maintain car for us. I highly recommend this to anyone at all; you canÕt go wrong with a Traverse!
One day we decided to go to the lake, and in my old vehicle, we never had the room to pack enough to go all day. We had the room with our Traverse so we went for it. We had bags of clothes, a huge cooler packed full of ice and drinks and cold snacks, and bags full of snacks. We had bags of clothes, a huge cooler packed full of ice and drinks and cold snacks, and bags full of snacks. We had our beach chairs, umbrella, floating devices for the kids, blankets, towels, and so much more. When we got to the beach, we had to laugh at what we had packed for the day. Six of us went, and we had packed more than enough. That was the first time IÕve ever taken my kids to the beach and not had to leave things behind due to a lack of room! We had a great day, and it became somewhat of a tradition to take one all-out day to the beach, where we pack the car in the morning and stay all day long till the beach closes for the day.
I like that all the seats can be laid down in the back if I ever need to put something large in there. I like how easy it is to fold all of the seats down and to put them back into place. I like the cloth interior that is easy to wipe clean with a rag if we have a spill. I think my favorite part of the car is the seating. A lot of people are surprised that it fits so many and so comfortably. It looks like itÕs smaller than it really is. The one thing I donÕt like a whole lot is that it seems to shift a little different. It seems to shift hard, but I have driven a couple of these same vehicles and they all do the same thing. It just takes some getting used to. I also donÕt really like the really deep tracks in the floor of the back row. A lot of dirt and crumbs get in there if there is no carpet back there to cover them. One thing I also found out quickly is not to have your face in front of the middle-row seat when you are folding it forward to get into the back. The seat flies forward so fast and hard it will hurt your face if it connects. It comes forward quickly and easily and the headrest hurts if it gets you in the face. My son did it once and now doesnÕt forget to be back far enough so as not to get hit with it when it comes forward.
