2017 Chevrolet Traverse - 2017 Chevy Traverse FWD
I like the quality feel of the Chevy Traverse. I am on my second Traverse. The cars handle nicely, feel squarely built, and feel safe on icy Michigan roads. I love the third-row seating with captain's chairs in the second row. I can fit all of my dogs, kids, and groceries in at once.
Story
When taking a trip to Cedar Point, we were able to save a lot of money by having a picnic in the back of this large car. It is great for any kind of tailgating!
Pros
I love the rear parking camera and the heated front seats. The parking camera is essential for backing this large car into a parking spot. I like that the car rides smoothly and handles nicely in inclement weather. There is plenty of head room and foot room for everyone, even if using all three rows of seating. The spaciousness is my favorite feature of the car.
Cons
The turn radius for this car is rather large. I have a hard time squeezing it into a tight parking spot. Backing out in tight quarters can be a real challenge. I currently have the FWD model, and it is terrible in just a small amount of snow. The car easily gets stuck in less than an inch of snow if moving up a shallow incline. I would not recommend a FWD model to anyone who lives where snowfall is likely.
2017 Chevrolet Traverse - Solid vehicle overall, great for large families
My Chevy Traverse is a great vehicle overall. IÕve put just over 50k miles on it and have no mechanical complaints. I purchased it primarily due to the interior layout. It can comfortably accommodate my family of six fully grown adults (plus a Great Dane service dog). My stepson, who has a prosthetic foot, has no problem getting into the third-row seat since itÕs so roomy. Also, since itÕs a large sturdy vehicle, it sustained very little damage even when rear ended while going 70 mph down the highway.
Story
As said before, my 18-year-old stepson has no issues climbing into the third-row seat even though he has a prosthetic foot and mobility issues. And his Great Dane service dog fits too!
Pros
Top pro is the interior layout (captain seats in second row). Second pro is safety.
Cons
It feels like trying to park a bus!
