The car has a lovely spacious interior that can seat 7 people. I love how roomy it is and that I didn't have to resort to purchasing a mini van. I am in mini van denial with this SUV instead. The seats are leather and there are captain's chairs in the second row that keep my kids from smacking each other too much. It has a lot of fun extras like a double moon roof and my whole family can fit in it comfortably. It's only okay as far as fuel consumption goes, but I needed a bigger vehicle and am happy with this one.
Story
We used this vehicle to tow our boat for the first time out to Norris Lake, TN. We got lost and ended up pulling our boat up and down these tiny windy roads and it was super stressful as we weren't used to pulling a boat at that time. The SUV didn't let us down and there were no problems so it's funny to look back on.
Pros
I love the third row seating, and the fact that that row can fold completely flat so there's room for transporting stuff the way you would with a truck when needed. We also use this vehicle to tow a speedboat, and it has been great for that. When out of town guests visit, we can fit our family of four plus guests in this vehicle and take all of them and the boat out to the lake. I feel safe driving my kids around in this larger vehicle too. I also am spoiled by the automatic lift gate, which comes in handy for loading groceries, etc.
Cons
The gas mileage is decent for a vehicle of this class, but it does use a fair amount of fuel. I've also noticed that the gas tank seems to be on the small side, probably so that when I fill up the cost per tank doesn't shock me too badly, but this means that I have to fuel up more frequently which is annoying. It seems like a sneaky trick the manufacturers are using to trick drivers into thinking this car is more fuel efficient than it really is.

The Chevrolet Traverse is an amazing vehicle. It can fit seven people - even if those seven are adults - with comfort and plenty of space. As a soccer coach, I can easily fit all the practice balls in the back with the seats down. The leather interior is luxurious and supple. I cannot get enough of the heated seats and steering wheel now that it's getting colder. The Bose Sound System has great sound, and Bluetooth and hands-free calling capability allows me to make calls quickly and easily. The ride is incredibly smooth. It makes you feel like you're in a true luxury vehicle.
Story
For Thanksgiving, we met family in Southeastern Ohio at a log cabin. To get there, we had to drive through numerous curves and hills on the back roads in the late evening with a slight mist. The Traverse handled incredibly well and when I had to slam on the brakes to avoid a deer, it responded perfectly. We had a great Thanksgiving meal and enjoyed our drive home, too.
Pros
The color of the car is a beautiful deep red. My kids love the DVD player, and because they can listen to it with headsets, my husband and I can talk and listen to our music in the front. The back up camera is really helpful when backing into a space in my work parking garage. The blind spot, "out of lane" and quick approach notifications are helpful to ensure that we are safe. Good storage in the center console.
Cons
The car was somewhat expensive and was more than I originally planned on spending. I would like it with better fuel economy; it gets about 18.5 miles per gallon. The back seats don't have seat warmers.
