Best Truck for an Active Lifestyle
I have had my 2007 Avalanche for the past 3 years, and I love my truck. The interior feels like a luxury car with the body and soul of a truck. It has all the bells and whistles I could want (and then some!). It handles especially well with a solid feel like you're connected to the road. I spend a lot of time outdoors hunting, camping, fishing, mountain bike riding, snowboarding, hiking, and exploring the Black Hills of South Dakota. Having the Tonneau cover is a perfect additional feature for the activities that I like to do. All my gear can be stored in a weather-tight, locking area where I don't need to worry about it. And if I need more room, I can remove the interlocking three piece Tonneau cover and have a full truck bed. If I need anymore room, I can lay down the rear passenger seats for additional space.

Before we purchased this vehicle we test drove others, such as pickups and cars. The ride is smooth and it is fun to drive. We used to travel a lot and with our family and dogs, they all fit with comfort. When we need the Avalanche to perform double duty as a truck, it is there to do just that. We can pretty much haul whatever we need to haul simply by opening up the back and pulling down the back seats and pushing the cargo through. I love the fact that they have included cover panels over the back, and the tail gate locks when you lock the truck. That way we can travel with our personal items and keep them safe. The Avalanche has power and is able to pull our boat when we go boating. The air-conditioning works very well. I love the bucket seats in the front. It is a very comfortable vehicle. Some of the drawbacks I have is when the odometer reached 50,000 miles the airbag light comes on and remains on until you get it serviced. Not a fan of OnStar as you pay such an awful lot for actually nothing, except a report they send you every month. We are going to let the OnStar subscription lapse in September. We now have almost 140,000 miles on our Avalanche and still love it. I can't wait until the 2017's come out as I may just get one. The Avalanche serves our purpose and performs exceptionally well.
