2000 Chevrolet Malibu - Extraordinaire
It was my mothers when I was growing up. She passed it onto me. And I have owned it for the last 3 years. The interior has really held up well! It has been a very reliable car. And I am going to continue with my next car being a Chevrolet.
Story
A car really grows on you, it like becomes your best friend. Anyone who doesn't think that don't know how to drive.
Pros
No break downs, very reliable, clean, easy cleanup
Cons
It scares me sometimes with how old it is, I feel its going to break down.
2000 Chevrolet Malibu - I enjoy this car and trust it completely.
I like the gas mileage as it gets about 30 miles to the gallon, and it is not as expensive to fill as bigger cars since it has a smaller tank. This car is very durable and has survived hitting a deer. Before we purchased it, the car had some sort of damage done to it and was submitted to a body shop where they repaired it and sold it to us after the owner signed it over to the body shop owner. One of the cons is that if you are a back yard mechanic you still have to take the car in for checking and adding transmission fluid unless you know where to look and how to do it - there is no normal dipstick on top of the engine like other cars. The size of the car is not bad but it really is not meant for large loads or car loads of heavy people - it is hard on the struts. The interior is nice... (more)
Story
Going to a big family reunion and fitting everyone in the car from our household. And being able to step away for a break from festivities to take a nap,
Pros
Great on gas mileage
Great, sound structure for a small vehicle
Comfortable interior with nice design
Takes a beating and keeps on going
Easy to upkeep except for transmission fluid (unless you know how to take care of that)
Trustworthy
Very few breakdowns
Can trust it to get from departure location to destination location without problems.
Cons
Hard to check transmission fluid unless you know where to look, you cannot check it or add to it.
Anti theft can be an issue and even at some point lock up the car leaving you to either go to dealership or shut it down to do it yourself with special techniques.
