2013 Chevrolet Malibu OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Warren, Ohio
Typical Chevy nickel and dime.
The 2013 Chevy Malibu is a good car to own as long as you don't mind repair bills. I have had several repairs done on this car. Some were covered by the bumper to bumper warranty and a few weren't. As for the style and design of the car, it's really great. The car looks great and for a mid-size car, there is plenty of room inside. The car is comfortable - I can say that the driver's seat, the passenger seat and the backseat are all comfortable. Also, Chevy is great at color - their vehicle colors are like no other automobile company. I have the black granite metallic color, which I get lots of compliments on, even though the car is almost four years old. The inside is comfortable and the seats, dashboard and carpeting are all made with quality materials. This car is a 4 cylinder car but it still has quite a bit of "get up and go" and isn't too far, power-wise, from the 6 cylinder car I had before. One of the things that I hate the most about this car is that it did not come with a spare tire. It came with a can of "fix a flat" and a tiny air machine. I got a flat tire once on the Ohio Turnpike and my tire was too badly damaged to use what was included so I had to get towed to a tire shop. This is really frustrating - in order for me to have a spare tire, I would have had to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a rim and a tire.

I have only a few complaints about the Malibu because it is a perfectly acceptable vehicle. The seats are comfortable for extended driving, the steering wheel is well-designed and the leg room for the front occupants is quite spacious. That said, the leg room for the rear occupants is lacking if you have someone over the age of 13 riding in the back. The trunk is quite large and the foldable rear seats mean you can fit much larger objects than in a car that didn't have them. I have had no rattles or maintenance concerns whatsoever at 25,000 miles. While the car is nice overall, I feel that the engine is left a bit lacking in power when trying to accelerate on an on-ramp or to overtake.

Chevy Malibu's rock!
I am so impressed with my 2013 Chevy Malibu. From the first day I saw then test drove my car, I knew it would be the best vehicle I had owned. To put it plainly, the shape, style, color and over all look is just gorgeous! I am very proud to walk up to my car in a parking lot, unlock the door and get inside. I was completely blown away by the gas mileage. On the highway this car gets at least 35 miles to the gallon. I know that may not seem like a lot with some of today's cars, but going from around 20 miles to the gallon, that's a lot. The size of the car is perfect with a small family. Two adults fit comfortably in the back seat with the center pull down console for drinks or arm rest. The sound system is awesome this car! You can actually turn the volume up and not hear the speakers crackle. There is a very cool secret compartment "hidden" behind the touch screen for the radio and all other things like Bluetooth, usb controls, XM radio, adjustments for lights, horn, locks and so much more. The truck is huge! Our family of three has plenty of room (with a little to spare) to pack for a two-week long road trip with a nine yr. old. The control of the Malibu is so smooth. The doors and windows block out the sound from outside and it's very easy to doze off in the backseat or passenger's side while the car is in motion. It just lulls you to sleep how comfortable and smooth the car runs. I highly recommend taking a test drive in a Chevy Malibu and buying one.
