My car is a white Malibu and I love it. I haven't had no major problems with it since I got it. It runs great and is very roomy. I've got 111,000 miles on it and still going strong.
Story
When I bought the car and my husband I went to a party and celebrated.
Pros
The car is comfortable. Gets good gas mileage and doesn't run hard.
Cons
My air bag light is on and I don't want to pay for it to check to see what is wrong with it. The steering column went out on me, but it was under recall.

I've had my 2006 Chevy Malibu for nearly six years, and I has been one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned. I purchased this car as a sophomore in college, and at the time, it was all I could afford. I saved about $3,500 and purchased it from a personal owner after browsing Craigslist for nearly two weeks! When I first purchased this car, it had 147,000 miles on the odometer. I've driven this car to at least four states across the south with no issues. My car now has about 208,000 miles and is still very dependable. I don't think I will ever get rid of my car. I've developed a bond with it and I trust it. I even named her "The Box Chevy" because she has a rectangular build.
Story
I drove this car to Mardi Gras in Louisiana in the spring of 2014. Old faithful drove me and a group of five friends without any issues for nearly 16 hours nonstop without any issues.
Pros
My Malibu is extremely fuel efficient. It fills up on only $25 with 13 gallons, and I get at least 25 miles per gallon! I have the a clear title to the vehicle, and since I've taken care of it, it still holds its value. Choosing to continue to drive my car has saved me money. I don't have to spend on a car payment throughout the years. The engine is immaculate, and this four-door sedan can seat at least five passengers comfortably. I've even been able to haul a set a set of night stands, a small TV, and luggage bags in my back seat during my most recent move.
Cons
I've recently run into a few mechanical issues. Over the past few months I've had to replace my alternator, battery, and fix a gas leak. The motor in the driver's window stopped working out of nowhere, and I also had to get that fixed. I figure since the car has just reached over 200,000 miles, it may not be as reliable, and I foresee more mechanical issues the more the car ages. It is now 12 years old.
