Steady, reliable, and loyal -- like a family dog.
I have owned this vehicle for over size years and feel I have gotten my money’s worth several times over. The truck has a classic look that stands the test of time. The mechanical components and design are from a time before everything was computerized, which has meant many a simple and inexpensive fix when something wears out or needs to be repaired. This truck has gone from California to New York while pulling a small trailer -- and back again. Now she is entering her twilight years, and the engine still runs strong and powerful, eager to get us where we need to go. The interior is still comfortable and the seats supportive, which is really saying something for a vehicle that is over 20 years old. This truck never seems to quit, though we have certainly racked up the miles on it. Having a sturdy bed has proved invaluable to load and carry heavy items and has been utilized by countless friends when they need a truck.

Very good and pleased with the truck
I have recently purchased my 95 Ford F-150 with a 351 V8 and I am very pleased with the truck. It is the first Ford I have ever owned but it runs very well and starts easily. The steering is good very little play for a vehicle so old. The air conditioning blows cold still. The power of the truck is definitely a plus so far it has no problem pulling or hauling anything although I have not majorly tested it yet. Everything that is supposed to work does. The only things I really had to fix on it was a sagging door and the power window motors. I also replaced the front bearings but I think that might could have been skipped. It is a long wheel base truck so that has also been a huge help. Anything will fit in the bed of the truck with ease and still be able to shut the tailgate. I have only taken it on one long trip so for but it made the trip like a champ. Also like many other older vehicles the fluids need to be watched pretty close ( once a week) to ensure proper level. The interior of the truck has stood up very well to time. No cracks or peeling on the dash.

Solid truck.
The 4.9 F-150 is one of the best trucks ever produced. It is a working mans truck that does not let you down. Everything on this truck was built to be a work horse. It is solid. The straight six-cylinder engine will outlast the body. It has the torque to pull down a house and keep going. The frame is solid and so is the body. The body is nothing to look at, but it does its job. You will have fun picking your gears in this truck. It isn't the most cozy cab, but it is not meant for that. It is meant to get the job done, and it does. No, you do not need four-wheel drive. Learn how to use this and you have made yourself one deal. The fuel economy is not the best. This is why it has two tanks. It's simple and solid.
