My 2011 Ford F-150 has been a true gem. It has taken me all across Texas and currently has 90,000 miles. Equipped with the 3.5L ecoboost engine the ride is very quiet. So quiet in fact, that I have been able to sneak up on pigs at the farm while hunting and they never knew it. The ride is exceptionally smooth for being completely stock, although on sharp inclined turns I am starting to hear a squeak on at the rear end. The noise is probably worn shocks that need to be replaced. All the creature features on the inside are great. My phone syncs up quick and I can listen to music, videos and talk on the phone hands free through the speakers. In the bed I have hauled a four wheeler, a kayak with fishing equipment, hunting equipment for a week long trip, and feed for the farm. None gave me ... (more)
Story
I used this truck in central Texas to harvest my first white tailed deer ever. It was a very memorable moment and I will never forget it.
Pros
Extremely quick 0-60 for a stock truck, will throw you back in the seat. Has towed everything I needed to with ease, boats, four-wheeler, work trailers, jet ski. On the inside of the cab the ride is very quiet. Gas mileage is much better than my old.
Cons
Had to change the spark plugs at 60,000 miles, when typically you shouldn't need to for 100,000 miles. The rear end has developed an annoying squeak on inclined turns after 90,000 miles. The rear passenger tire wears much quicker than any of the other.

This is a 2011 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 with the off-road package. It is red and has a 5.0 L V8. It makes wonderful noise when you step on the gas. Which is a good thing because it weighs a good bit and requires a lot of gas to get moving. It is high above the road, so you can see what other people are doing in their vehicles. Once I saw a guy streaming videos on his phone, while his phone was resting on his instrument cluster. A pickup truck is a very useful thing. I can rent a trailer and move around very large and heavy items. If I bring someone with me, I can buy anything in the IKEA store and get it home. The seats are very, very comfortable. It's like a full-sized adult fits in a full-sized truck.
Story
My best days are the days it snows a great deal. Lets say a good 10 inches of heavy wet snow falls in the night. People in ordinary cars are stuck in their driveways. I don't even bother to shovel my drive. I get out on the freeway and enjoy a quiet, perhaps lonely, drive to work. No one out on the roads acting foolish. No traffic jams. The worst days are light snows. Everyone is out ther... (more)
Pros
Ability to deal with 10 inches or more of snow.
Cons
The traction control is pretty poor. Fortunately, there is a handy 4X4 switch on the dash.
