I have a 2003 Ford Escape. I bought it five years ago, and I really like it. It is reliable, stylish, and has a great motor. Its also a 4x4 and goes great with my lifestyle. It has 150,000 miles on it, but it runs like it is brand new. The paint and interior is in excellent condition.
Story
When I first bought this car, I was driving it down the road for the first time, and I felt like this was the right SUV for me, and that made me feel great because I had make a great decision when purchasing this SUV.
Pros
The trunk is accessible and is large compared to the other SUVs on the market. It's a 4x4 V6 motor with plenty of power. Reliable, rugged, and has a great outer design. The fog lights are of high quality. The steering is fluid and controllable. The model that I have has a roof rack that makes it stand out with other Escapes out on the road. The interior is clean and not too cluttered. I have never had any problems with this car, but I do regular patience on the car. Best SUV that I have ever owned, and I will be buying another newer model when this one doesn't work anymore. Also has a real... (more)
Cons
I really do not like the braking system on this car. It had a factory recall a few years back, and when they did the work on the brake pedal, it really make the braking system not handle the way that it used to. That's really the only big complaint that I have about this car.

Just previous to purchasing this car, I was driving a full sized SUV, which made me feel like I was driving a tank. I was a little nervous to purchase another SUV, but I was pleasantly surprised! This compact SUV is the perfect size for me. It has the feel of a smaller car and is very easy to drive, but it also has the room and storage capacity of a larger vehicle. I also like the fuel economy; I don't have to fill up very often and it doesn't cost too much when I do. Even though this car is quite old, it has no major issues that we can tell and has been great through a Northern winter.
Story
This vehicle has enough room inside to change your child's diaper emergency in the dead of winter without having to keep any doors open!
Pros
I love that this vehicle is so easy to use with my child - great size for easily getting them in and out, and space for storage and diaper/clothing changes. What I like most about this car is that I feel comfortable and confident driving it. I feel the extra size and weight are safer for my child, but also that I can easily maneuver and drive it around town.
Cons
Some of the interior is ripping, coming loose, etc. I bought this vehicle when it was already several years old, so I think this is probably normal wear and tear. The only bad thing about the roominess is that I have been hauling around donations I need to drop off for months, and I just don't do it because I still have enough space even with them there!!
