I love my 2016 Ford Escape! The size of it is perfect for me since I am a new mother and also short in stature. Being able to get the car seat in and out of the car is essential to my daily life and the Ford Escape makes it so simple! The operation of the vehicle has good quality. There are no rattles or random sounds as I drive and the features available are very nice. I have heated leather seats and electric/power windows/seats and mirrors. The touch screen controls are great and they can also be used via voice activation (i.e., for phone calls). Connecting my Bluetooth device is simple and the quality of the sound is excellent as well. The vehicle rides smoothly and since my vehicle is an AWD model, it does EXCELLENT in the ice and snow. the vehicle is very sassy, meaning that it dr... (more)
Story
My most memorable story is the first time I took my new son to JC Penney at the mall. It was the first time I took him out of the house by myself (without the help of my husband) and I remember getting the stroller out of the trunk and using the automatic trunk open/close feature to help out, and then putting him in the stroller and locking the car up.
Pros
I love the size of the vehicle and the how the vehicle drives. It drives like a smaller car, being able to take turns more easily than larger SUVs. I also love the navigation system; it is always accurate and extremely easy to use! The heated leather seats are my favorite part of the car, and when the defrost is on, the side view mirrors also heat up. There is a key pad on the side of the driver side door that allows you to enter a code to get into the vehicle in the case that you lock your keys in the vehicle or want to go to the park for a run and don't want to carry your car keys with y... Cons
I don't have too many negative things to say about this vehicle. I do feel that the console area in between the driver and passenger seats is extremely small. I struggle regularly for a place to set items down if I have a passenger in the vehicle. Otherwise, I place my purse and other random items on the passenger seat while I am driving. I also do not love that the temperature gauge seems to update only after the car has been turned off for a prolonged period of time OR if I have been driving for at least 2 minutes or so without stopping. It is a minor complaint, but for someone who is in... (more)

The Escape provides a smooth ride even when in AWD. This car is suitable for a family. It has an ample trunk size that fits all our martial arts equipment including long staffs. The back seats go down and provide more room for equipment or even for shopping bags. The Sync feature has a parent lock and allows one to block certain radio stations. The phone feature is excellent so that no one is reaching for a cell phone and letting go of the wheel. If you don't want to use the voice features the steering wheel provides all controls. The fact that I do not have to manually transfer to AWD is very helpful. The Escape has intelligent drive which makes me feel safe when in bad weather. I like the color choices and the different features you have to choose from. My last car was an E... (more)
Story
The best story I can tell is driving around with my dog who wears goggles. These are to protect his eyes from debris and wind. One day I realized he had his head out the window and a car full of girls behind me, where all taking his picture.
Pros
The Escape has the EcoBoost feature that saves me a lot of money on gas. The Microsoft Sync works very well and keeps my hands on the wheel. There is really no need to use anything but your voice to change the radio or make a phone call. The trunk space is pretty large considering the vehicle is not too big. I like the darker tint on the back windows as well as the medium tint in the front. The seats are leather and are easily cleaned. The intelligent all wheel drive has never failed me in bad weather. There are multiple air bags that make me feel safe as well as my passengers. This... (more)
Cons
There are very few negative things about the Escape. When in extreme weather, the Sync tends to lock up. Sync also drops calls in bad weather. It will stop charging if you use your phone to play music. All these negative things are not really about the vehicle but about one of its best selling features. The radio is a bit hard to program. Getting the stations to stay on the dashboard group takes a lot of patience to program. The rear parking assistant turns on too fast, even when you have more than enough room to back up. The foot assist feature to open the trunk sometimes sticks a... (more)
