The gas mileage is okay. It's not too impressive at 23 to 26 mpg.
Pros
It is a versatile compact-crossover SUV. The interior space is okay, just about average. But the towing ability is amazing! It can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
Cons
The Ford Escape is not a luxury SUV (duh!). Enemy number one here is engine noise. The Escape SE is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder Eco Boost engine, and its machinations are heard and felt with little interference in the cabin. This is especially true when accelerating from a stop or to pass, but even when just cruising along, the Escape lets in wind and tire noise too. Hopefully the cabin in the new 2020 Ford Escape is better sealed from unwanted noise and vibration than the current model. ThatÕs a hell of a good price for a suite of safety features that costs many time... (more)

I love how it looks but I do not like that when you have to accelerate, it takes a second to push forward. So when going forward, even in sports mode, it will not accelerate as fast as it should.
Story
Taking a road trip across the country and having the car fully packed was a great experience. We had three people with a ton of baggage, but the car drives so smooth that it was a very enjoyable even packed full.
Pros
The look of the car makes it feel like I am driving a sports car. However, it was at an affordable price. The tires are black, which make the appearance look great. Gas mileage can vary since it has an eco boost setting. I love that this car is brand new, and it runs like it is brand new. I have not encountered any problems with the push to start either.
Cons
Acceleration, windshield wipers fastness, lights, the push to start and programmable keys are super expensive. If you were to break a key (which I have), it would cost $250 just for the key and then another fee to re-program it to the car.
