First I must say I had no immediate plans to purchase a vehicle! Well I just loved everything I saw and had to test drive it. It drove so smoothly, it has a quiet engine. It was very low in mileage, was just 3 years old when I bought it. It was a previous leased vehicle, so it was very well maintained.
Story
I have many memorable days driving my grand kids around and knowing they are in a safe, reliable vehicle.
Pros
Oh wow, there are so many pros about my escape. I will list everything I can possibly think of, but they may not be in order of importance. I love the color!!! The color is what made me see this car on the lot from a distance and then I just had to drive over and see it. The mileage was low. The vehicle was a leased vehicle so it was very well maintained. It gets over 30 mpg. It is equipped with hands free for your cell phone calls to go through the speaker of your car (really a selling feature for me). I absolutely can only think of one Con about my vehicle and that is just that I still have a loan. I love my car.

When I test drove the year and model Ford Escape I felt like it was a nice, tight drive compared to many of the other (used) vehicles I had test driven. The leather seats were nice, the ability to plug in my phone and sync it was nice (though a pain to accomplish), it has a sunroof which I have never had before. However, after driving it for about 25000 miles (when it had about 55,000 miles on it) it began stalling intermittently for no apparent reason when idling or close to idling. I had to take it to the Ford dealership 3 times before it was properly repaired. Also, it had issues with the back door lock not releasing, and I owned a Ford once before that had these types of (expensive) electrical issues. Took the car through a drive through safari and fed buffalo and deer out the windows! Glad no one charged us, though!
Pros
Leather seats, phone/Bluetooth, sunroof, good pick up/handling. Oh yeah, and the ease of folding the back seat down to make room in the trunk for the dogs.
Cons
Electrical issues, reliability issue, poor rear window visibility
