Versatile, smart, and comfortable
We purchased this vehicle used from a friend. It was beyond our expectations as to performance, versatility and comfort. It was good on gas mileage and held everything that one could want to hold in the rear portion of the pickup bed. The interior was clean and comfortable given that this was going to be used predominantly as a working vehicle to assist us with home remodeling projects. We were given a truck cap for the back of the vehicle, which was wonderful with regard to security issues when we had groceries or lumber or other possessions that we wanted to keep out of the weather and secure in the back of the truck. It also had a lock for the cap. We have been able to comfortable put two sleeping bags in the rear of the truck and slept comfortably on quick trips with other family members. The seating in the truck itself is quite comfortable for four people, two in the front seats and two in the rear seats. This is also a quick place to put items from the grocery store or others and keep them secure when the back of the pick up truck is already loaded or not needed for smaller items. For the higher mileage on the truck, it had few-to-no mechanical problems.

Great truck
My Silverado has been a great truck. The push-button 4WD is very useful. The maintenance is very easy to go. I can change my own oil and filters. I have driven this truck over 160,000 miles and it still runs like new. I have had no problems with the workings of the engine or transmission. The truck is very powerful. I have used it to pull trailers hauling heavy loads without any problems. The problems I have had are minimal. The clear coat over the paint has begun to peel all over the truck. I have had to replace the power window motors three times. I had to have a rear main seal put in the engine. I have had to have the front tie rods and bushings replaced. The seal around the door windows have come loose. The back-up lights have stopped working. The tailgate handle has broken. It is made of plastic. It could have been made a little studier. To me, this is just normal wear and tear.
