2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Great Vehicle
My vehicle is a Chevy Silverado. I absolutely love my truck, it has so much room and I feel like I'm protected when I'm inside of it. It's very nice inside, and has a homey feel. My husband has offered to get me a new truck many times, but I can't part with my baby.
Story
One fun/ memorable story with this vehicle is that we take it on every vacation we go on. I remember once, we took it to Memphis, and all our luggage was in the back of the truck. It started raining, so we pulled over and threw all our luggage in the back. That's when I realized how much space we had. We had 2 kids in car seats, 2 suit cases, a stroller, and my husbands bow that he'd just boug... (more)
Pros
The top positive thing about this vehicle is that it gets very good gas mileage for a truck. My favorite feature of the truck is the radio. It's very nice.
Cons
The only negative thing about my truck is the radio very recently went out.
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Rugged and dependable
It is a rugged truck able to take a beating and keep on going. It has been very dependable, and the few repairs have been easy to fix and not affecting the drivability. With the rear seat down, there is still storage space underneath. There is a special coating on the steering wheel that does not get hot in the summers to prevent burned hands. The cloth seats also provide comfort and easy to clean unless you have pets. The seats are very comfortable. I have even slept on them occasionally. The tr... (more)
Story
Drove it down Schnebly Hill Road to bypass a highway closure. Had never been on the road but was a suggestion from our GPS (never trust GPS). It said it was a 13-mile dirt road, so I figured my truck would be fine. The first couple miles were just a dirt, but not too rough, and wide enough for two cars with a drop off on one side. We kept going, but the road kept getting worse, larger rocks, s... (more)
Pros
Rugged. Heavy duty. Coated steering wheel. It can seat six people, lots of space in the cab.
Cons
Headlight a little difficult to replace. I would like more interior storage without sacrificing seating.
