My truck is a great ride. It has plenty of power but also gets very good fuel mileage for a heavy truck. The interior is very clean and comfortable. It has four-wheel drive, so I never have to worry about getting stuck in the snow. I am able to perform all of the service tasks by myself. It's very reliable. From time to time, I have received comments about how it looks from others. I feel safe when I drive it. I can choose to drive it to work or the local dump to throw out trash. Surprise purchases are never a problem either. You can fit a Fridge or couch in the back. The rear end is a 3:42 axle ratio, so driving on the highway is a breeze. Chevy Trucks don't seem to rust out either. There are a few chips in the paint down to the metal, and no rust is preset. It was formed with quality... (more)
Story
One time, a few years ago, it was snowing like crazy. I decided to take my truck out for a ride to see how much snow was on the ground. I had no problem plowing through the high snow banks. After stopping for a coffee and some donuts, I proceeded to the local high school and started doing donuts in the parking lot. The truck went round and round for about 15 mins spinning out of control. It wa... (more)

My Chevy 1500 Silverado Z71, though used, has been a very solid truck. It has very little rust, even though it is 12 years old. I haven't had a single mechanical issue. The four-wheel drive has always worked well. It has features that I didn't know that I would want, such as heated seats and backs on the seats. The gas mileage isn't as good as a car, but it has been about 14 to 16 miles per gallon. There is plenty of power in the truck, which has been helpful carrying things. Also, the ability to load the truck with many items, especially long ones, has been great. The liner in the bed is fantastic, and keeps it from getting damaged. The doors are sturdy, and help me getting onto the side rails. The seats are made of leather and keep things from getting wet and are easy to cl... (more)
Story
When we bought this truck, my wife and I were able to get rails on top of the bed and take our canoe out for the first time. We went and had no issue getting it there and had a great time using the truck to get it there.
Pros
The top pros of this vehicle are power, four-wheel drive and amenities. There are plenty of creature comforts in the vehicle to keep it comfortable while doing tasks that require a truck. Also, knowing that it will be solid for what I need makes me not worry as much.
Cons
The only real con that I can think of is that these trucks sometimes have a tendency to rust. As there is a bit of rust coming in. I don't have a garage; I'm a bit skeptical of how long I can go without getting rust. I'm keeping an eye on it though.
