Love me a Silverado truck.
The 2011 Silverado introduces slightly bolder front end styling than previous years. It maintains traditional bulb headlights which I prefer to cold, unfeeling LEDs. The interior is roomy enough for my 280 pound, 6'2" frame and the cloth seats are always pleasant, comfortable and preferable to vinyl or leather. The 4.8 liter engine, while small for a V-8, produces plenty of power while providing decent fuel economy for a full-size pickup truck. The extend cab model, which I own, features great passenger room in the back and can be described as a couch on wheels. Overall there are many convenient storage areas including door pockets front and rear, seat pockets for rear seat passengers and under seat storage in the rear. Plus it has a six foot bed which is a great size for hauling plenty of cargo and keeping the truck from being to large to maneuver and park. The 3 speed transmission with overdrive also helps with decent fuel economy. It is in a sense a smart truck in that it will turn the lights on and off automatically and will allow the radio to play and the windows to be able to be rolled up or down with the vehicle off and the key removed until the driver's side door is opened, and if the door is not opened within 10 minutes it will disable all of these features to protect the battery. Being that I love to listen to topics on talk radio, the feature of being able to listen to the radio with the vehicle off until the driver's door is opened is a great feature.

The Silverado is one of my favorite cars. Aesthetically pleasing, drives smooth, and the sound system is great. There are inputs for iPods and aux cords and it plays CDs. As a frequent podcast listener, this is great. I enjoy the power steering, steering wheel audio controls, power seats, and power mirrors. Driving this is like controlling a space ship. Its a beast of a truck but a very, very comfortable ride.
